Communication is always subjects' action, but when communication happened in the virtual community in which rather than corporeal body, symbol is the representation of communication, do communicators still have the human-related and realistic subjectivity, that is the research question of this dissertation. The ultimate goal of this study is hope to sustain the existing human-related and realistic subjectivity, in order to theoretically and factually provide the premise of which how to improve the current situation of the subjectivity. In existential sense, a subject is a practical and constitutive one, that is one of the theoretical premise of the study. Based on the premise, the subjectivity must be accompanied by the body, because the body is the starting point and ultimate point of social actions. The logic of the study is bodies are the positioning of subjects, and the body of communicators is always embedded in the interactive process, so people still have the human-related and realistic subjectivity. This logic is opposite to the one of the existing mainstream research discourses, because the viewpoint of the latter is bodies is disembodied in the interactive process.Based on the general theoretical logic, the content of the study is to solve the following problem, theoretically and practically: which kind of the body in CMC, and how to embed in the whole process of CMC?Theoretically speaking, the body embedded in CMC is the social body, which is secondly represented. The viewpoint of bodies of the study is based on the Maurice Merleau-Ponty' standpoint of mental and physical unity and the perspective of the body sociology.Practically speaking, according to the theory of the constitution of society, by empirical and dialectic method, the study is explored from four aspects including the objective factor of time and space and subjective factors of role> power and online love and marriage. The whole study process is parallel to the course of presentation of body embedment in CMC.The first chapter, "Removing" and "Shackling" of Space-Time. Empirical data shows in the use of IM more than half of the communicators are reluctant to communicate with strangers, the main reasons of which are distrust (not safety), waste of time and meaningless. This result is paradoxical to the internet characteristics of virtual technology. The study finds although internet virtual technology removes space-time factor, the communicators are shackled mentally and physically by space-time factor because the real body of the communicators cannot be abandoned. the body shackled and relatively fixed guarantees the realistic subjectivity. The second chapter, "Virtuality" and "Reality".of Roles. First, through exploring the presented QQ personal data including gender, age, province and city, we find most of the content filled is true. By investigating and analyzing further the general psychological motivations, our point of view is whether true or not the role actions in virtual community are still greatly influenced by realistic society, and this kind of influence is embodied by the bodies' embedment in CMC. Second, the identities' information presented in "individual spaces" shows the role presentation in "individual space" is the authentic role action. Therefore, the argument is the virtual role is just the other situational fa(?)ade of realistic role, and the role still have real subjectivity. The third chapter, "Imagination" and "Generation" of Power. First, the free speech situation in BBS is explored through the method of discourse analysis. The conclusion is, in essence, any so-called free speech is not free, and this kind of "not free" refers to the discourse power' inequality of speakers in BBS. Secondly, after investigating behaviors of human flesh search, the study considers the human flesh search is a kind of self-empowered behavior, and the reason and nature of the empowerment is closely linked to the power structure in the society. Third, from the citizenship perspective, based on the analysis of the online real-name phenomenon, our viewpoint is at least at present, in terms of tending to cultivating and improving the realistic citizenship, implementing online real-name system is not appropriate. In short, in this chapter, our view is proved once again that the power in virtual community is just correspond to the power in real society, and this corresponding is represented by the presentation of realistic bodies in CMC.The fourth chapter, "Extraordinary" and "Common" of Online Love and Marriage. First, through the analysis of an online love text, the argument is the online love affair is still the external instrumental value behavior which can not be free from the realistic social culture, because in the form of bodies' reconstruction, realistic social culture embeds in the whole process of online love affairs. Second, after analyzing the online-divorce reason in detail, the fact is the reason can be attributed to the restriction of the traditional marital culture. Therefore, the study considers online love and marriage is as a kind of the common external instrumental value behavior because the social body of the communicators has never retreat from the online love and marriage course. On one hand, the human-related and practical subjectivity of communicators has been demonstrated. On the other hand, is the damaged situation of realistic subjectivity able to expected to be improved by internet technology? We are confident of this prospect, because in existential sense "people" is either practical or reflective.
