This article describes a new information display system which use ball matrix as display screen, the ball matrix is controlled by CAN network.This information display can dynamic diaplay graph, image and text information in three-dimensional space. The introduction section of the article introducts the significance of information displays and it related technology's history present situation and prospects. In the body of the article inctroducts the overall system design and some system related technical principles, as adigital image technology, Chinese character encoding technology, can bus principle, etc. And the system is divided into three modules are described, PC modules, communication modules, and servo drive module. Then expand describes these three modules. In the PC module mainly describes the control software design, internal data processing, and power control module design. In the communication module mainly describes the system of communication processes, Ethernet and CAN NET connection, the configuration of CAN network devices, CAN network data conversion formats, etc. In the servo drive module describes how to supply the module, servo drive controller how connect to the power supplies, motor and encoder connection, the important interface of the servo drive controller's description, important parameter settings of the servo drive controller. PID debugging, control mode selection and the relations of the endcode line number and the ball'sposition and velocity. Finally make a summary of this information display system, and put forward some feasible improvement scheme.
