With the increasing speed of rural marketization process, market mechanism becomes more and more important in collocating the rural production elements and improving current efficiency of rural product. However, compared with the advanced market economy with large-scale and relatively concentrated production of developed countries, the transaction costs of China's rural production elements and agricultural products are comparatively high due to the influences of small-scale and dispersion of rural economy activities in China. Issues of "Migrant workers shortage", "Migrant workers efficiency", "difficulty to buy" and "difficulty to sell" appear alternately, which severely reduce the allocation efficiency of rural production elements and current efficiency of agricultural products, and the risks of rural market expand continually.It is always a subject concerned by scholars of theoretical studies in china what ways can be used to reduce rural market transaction costs. And early studies show that actively cultivating and developing rural broker industry is a feasible choice of institution.The rural broker industry, engaging in mediacy, commission or agency for brokerages, plays an important role in facilitating rural produce trade, optimizing the agricultural economic activities, and promoting rural economic development by integrating different agricultural industrial production activities and reducing the uncertainty of market information. The development research of rural broker industry has become a new searching topic of agricultural economy.Basing on the summary of references, and using principal theory of information economics, the theoretical source of generation and development of rural broker industry has been measured respectively from 3 dimensions of the specificity of trade asset, the uncertainty of trade information and the frequency of transactions. Also it concludes and arranges the evolution process and stage characteristics of rural broker industry in China from historical perspective, analyses development situation and features of organizational structure of China's rural broker industry from aspects of reality, combining the description of agency trade action theories and cases, it points that reducing uncertainty of market information, integrating trade steps, decreasing frequency of rural commodity trade and essential investment of specific brokerage assets, are both industrial conditions of rural market economy and generation and development conditions of rural broker industry, and associating market demand and supply of practical brokerage services of rural broker industry in China, it finally defines developing strategies of rural broker industry in China. This dissertation is consisted of six parts and seven chapters. The specific content is as follows:Part One: Main research framework and foundamental definition (including Chapters 1 and 2). Domestic and abroad research conditions of rural broker industry, and study object, research methods and contents of this dissertation have been summarized; basic situation and principle theories needed have been outlined from aspects of definition, subject classification and individual behaviour characteristics of rural broker industry, which solves the basic instrument issues required in this dissertation.Part Two: Theoretical basis of generation and development of rural broker industry (Chapter 3). According to the connotation and trading characteristics of rural broker industry, the theoretical source of generation and development of rural broker industry has been discussed individually from aspects of 3 special attributes of trade behaviours, which are asset specificity, information uncertainty and transaction frequency. Firstly, in views of wide trade varieties, big trading scope and slow development of the rural broker, it researches that, the more investments of specific broker asset would lead the better development of rural broker industry, from aspect of the first influencing element of trading features, which is specific asset of transaction costs. Secondly, from aspect of information uncertain, which is the second influencing element of trading features, it analyses that rural broker industry, regarded as the third party special organization with professional and strong impartiality, is the market requirement of indirect commercials of rural commodities, which can be best proved by generation and development of 4 categories of brokers. Thirdly, from aspect of trading frequency, which is the third influencing element of trading features, it analyses trade costs within every trading stages of whole production and circulation of different types of agricultural productions, and figures that intermediary services of rural broker industry can integrate transaction steps, decrease trading frequency of rural commodities, and lead scale benefit and scope economy, which consequently become a induced system arrangement to be generated and developed. This chapter is the core and emphasis of this dissertation.Part Three: The conclusion and arrangement of the generation and development of rural broker industry in China: historical perspective (Chapter 4). Throughout studying specific situation of rural social division, agricultural product commercialization and the development of rural broker industry in Chinese history, the historical traces of rural broker industry in China has been analysed, and it results that: the improving rate of agricultural product commercialization, development of rural market economy, and more and more detailed specialized division of labour, are essential premises for forming and rapidly developing the rural broker industry.Part Four: The disclosure and description of developing trend and organization structure features of rural broker industry in China: from realistic perspective (Chapter 5). It mainly analyses the main body of rural broker industry, and the competition behaviour characteristics and market demand of various subjects in industrial environment, and the research shows: the developing potential and market space of rural broker market are large, and as a whole, are in developing period. Moreover, combing the real situation of industry that massive professional market behaviours of rural broker market in China has not appeared, it has been pointed out that the rural broker industry in China is still in a pivotal period transiting to the maturity stage.Part Five: The disclosure and description of characteristics of subject behaviours of rural broker industry: from industrial perspective (Chapter 6). From aspect of industrial analysis, it reveals that the rural broker industry in China generates and develops under the support of mutual broker supply and demand, and from bottom to the top. Present market behaviours, in aspects of price, advertisement, instrument and after service, displays further in market pricing, acquisition and promotion, as a result of conflicts and confrontations among agents, and few harmonious market behaviours. Therefore, the features of large-scale professional market behaviours have not appeared. The developing rural broker industry in China is still in a period from entrance transiting to mutual.Part Six: Conclusions, suggestions and expectations (Chapter 7). According to previous results, the developing strategies of rural broker industry in China have been demonstrated. Whether the rural broker industry can smoothly enter mature period, and realizes the essence leap of industrial development, it needs enhanced self-management and restriction in interior, in the pointview of industrial rules and government administration, besides government supports.
