Research On Sino-U.S.Economic Interdependence

The interdependence of economy among the countries is getting more and more important in present world. With the trade, capital, currency, direct investment, technology, personnel and information flowing across the nations frequently, there is no country with the ability to maintain sustainable growth only by itself. Therefore, the research on the interdependence of economy among the countries is significant for the nation making long-time development strategy.Since the international financial crisis, the interdependence of economy between China and the U.S. has been the spotlight. At the same time, the relationship between the two nations is getting changed unawarely. The mutual effection between the two nations is getting wider and wider. Affairs happened in one nation would affect the other and the decision one nation would make must be concern about the other too. This thesis comprehensively discussed Sino-US economic interdependence, which is the complement for the previous research in this field.The approach of research in the thesis is as follows:the trade, the investment and the financial linkages are taken as objects of analysis, and a new exploration is made in marcoeconomy, and the mechanism and method of adjusting is also discussed.The first chapter is the introduction, which discusses the research background, the purpose and the significance of the study, the literature review and comment, etc.The second chapter is the theoretical structure of international economic interdependence.Chapterâ…¢,â…£andâ…¤discuss the Sino-US economic interdependence from three aspects. In the third chapter it analyses the trade, capital flows (direct investment) and financial exchanges between the two nations. In Chapter IV it uses time series methods to test the macroeconomy aspects of Sino-US interdependence and mutual influence of dynamic changes. In the fifth chapter it discusses the coordination in Sino-US economic interdependence.Chapter VI is the conclusion and the perspective.The innovations in the thesis appear in four aspects.Firstly, it is the thesis that researches the issue comprehensively and widens the research field.Secondly, it uses dynamic analyzing method in the thesis which is seldom used in previous research about the issue.Thirdly, a new opinion is proposed in the thesis that the Sino-US interdependence is strengthening in financial aspect.Forthly, a new method, i.e. SVAR method is used in the thesis to analyze the interdependence and the degree of the Sino-US maroeconomy.
