The auto industry of Beijing has got off to a flying and early start and created splendid achievements. In 1958, JingGangShan, the first home-produced car of China was manufactured in Beijing. However, in the past decade, while known as one of state owned "small three"and pillars of Beijing industry, Beijing auto group has gradually been driven into the background and forgone the economic scale and profit opportunities compared with the development of first auto group of China, DongFeng auto group, Shanghai-Volkswagen auto Ltd., as well as regions of Guangzhou and Tientsin. How to experience renewed development with leaps and bounds has become fatal strategic choice that Beijing auto group must make. With this understanding, in concert with development strategy of Beijing auto group this paper analyzed strategy system structure, organizational strategy, strategy of product position, and strategy selection from the points of view of competition advantage and core competencies, strategic union, organizational ecology, industry cluster and game theories. This outcome will be of some referenced value to the strategy of Beijing auto industry. This paper is summarized as follows: (1) Research on integrating relevant theories of development strategy of Beijing auto industry. This paper synthesized the theories of competition advantage and core competencies, strategic union, organizational ecology, industry cluster and game, which offered theoretical analysis grounds to further study. (2) Positive research on the rules of companies'cluster evolvement of auto industry of China. This paper used density dependent principle in organizational bionomics to analyze the rules of companies'cluster evolvement of auto industry of China and built general positive model to the rules of companies'cluster evolvement of auto industry of China. Positive study demonstrated that the circumstances have great influence on development of auto industry of China,which is still at the seedtime. These results have been mainly in line with the existing situation of auto industry of China. (3) Research on the cluster model and establishment of its framework in Beijing auto industry. This paper promoted a cluster model of Beijing auto industry on the basis of the strategic network with the core of Beijing auto holding company and main parts of three blocks. Then this paper proved feasibility and necessity of this model through analyzing the strategic union relationship inside and outside Beijing auto industry and establishing and analyzing game theory model of multilateral and multistage strategic union. Furthermore, this paper tabled implementary proposals on establishing the strategic union for Beijing auto industry. (4) Research on strategy of product position based on the ecology enterprise. This paper brought forward strategy of product position based on the ecology enterprise and its correspondent viable model after discussion of general strategy of product position. Afterwards, this paper specified the practical advice on the strategy of product position of Beijing auto group.
