Ecosystem is prerequisite for mankind. In long history of man traditional agricultural civilization, Human with low production capabilities always had to confront the difficulty that social aggregate supply could not meet fully social aggregate demand, However, human activities had little damages to ecosystem. Since Industry Revolution especially since World II, overproduction appears in human society, because of steadily increasing production. Meanwhile, natural ecosystem had to change a lot for human. Today serious ecosystem retrogression, environmental pollution and resource absence make natural ecosystem overburden. China has to faces hard and urgent problems on population and resources in economic development. Accordingly,how to make the economic system and ecosystem harmony and how to make development sustentative is an emergent problem.Since 1960's, human begins to ponder traditional economic developmental mode and re- examine how the mankind's can promote happiness and welfare really. In 1980's, a new economic field- eco-economics-births. It provides the direction of society developmentsThe ecosystem economics thinks the economic system is the second stage system of ecosystem or sub-system of environment, emphasizing mankind social economic activities have to obey natural ecosystem regulation, limiting economic scale in the resources supply of ecosystem system and the ability of wastes modulation. With maintenance the stability of structure and function of the ecosystem system and keeping mankind's society development, ecosystem economy, in a brief, is an optimal ecosystem according to ecological principles.
