Based On Community Participation In Wetland Eco-tourism Sustainable Development Model Study

Community Participation is a substantial character of ecotourism. It's an important approach to achieve the sustainable development of resource, environment and tourism industry. The dissertation uses Sustainable Development theory, Geography, sociology, psychology, Economics and any other theories to study the models of ecotourism development based on community participation, taking Yancheng coastal and marine wetland community as a study case. The dissertation comprises of eight chapters, and groups into three parts. The part one comprises of chapter 1,2 and 3, deals with the analyses of research background, correlative theories and foundational conditions of community participation. The part two comprises of chapter 4, 5 and 6, analyses the community participation model concretely. The chapter three comprises of chapter 7 and 8, evaluates community participation and gives conclusions of the dissertation.The first part of the dissertation reviews the research progress of community participation in ecotourism development, the research backgrounds and significances, the research contents and methods. Gives conceptions to community, community participation and any other relative terms. Analyzes the significances, based theories of community participation in Ecotourism development. Then the dissertation analyzes resource and environment conditions of Yangcheng coastal and marine wetland to develop community-based ecotourism. Using Ecological Footprint model, the dissertation evaluates the sustainable status of ecotourism of Yancheng coastal and marine wetland. After that, the dissertation analyzes the relationship among community, Nature Reserve and tourism, builds the dynamical mechanism model of community participation.The second part of the dissertation first sums up the procedures and methods of community participating ecotourism planning, then analyzes main stakeholders of Yancheng wetland, based on investigations and interviews, analyzes residents' perceptions and attitudes on ecotourism development. Analyzes relationships among decision-making behaviors, perceptions and attitudes, builds residents' decision-making Structure Equation Model(SEM) . Third, the dissertation gives some development ideas and models of ecotourism products, builds Yancheng coastal and marine wetland ecotourism products spectrums. Using space structure theories and space layout theories to analyzes the tourism space structure of Yancheng coastal and marine wetland tourism district and the beauty spot space structure of Red-crowned Crane Nature Reserve and Dafeng David's Deer Nature Reserve, respectively build space layout and space structure models of them. In the end of this part, the dissertation takes out ecotourism co-management model which involved in community residents, the ecotourism operating model combines absorbing external capital and external enterprises, conservation operating and community participating, co-operation of enterprises and farmers, the profit distribution model which given attention to two or more stakeholders, combined first distribution and second distribution, reflected efficiency and equityIn the third part, using AHP, the dissertation builds index systems to evaluate the scale and effect of community participation in Yancheng coastal and marine wetland ecotourism development, and evaluates current scale and effect, the respective score are 14.6 and 54.7, then, gives ensure mechanisms of community participation. At last, the dissertation summarizes the contents, gives some discuss themes, suggests some directions of future research.
