A Research Of Regional Policy In European Union

The spatial disparities always exist in the courses of economic development, and the spatial unbalance will become a motor power of economic development, but on the contrary, when the spatial unbalance grows to some limit, it will become the obstacle to prevent the further economic development. From the economic spatial theoretical point of view, there are balanced development theory and unbalanced development theory. Regional policy is an indispensable part of state economic policies. There are three levels of regional economic policy: supranational regional policy, national regional policy and the local regional policy inside a country.As a matter of fact, the economic disparities not only exist inside a country, but between the countries, which is often more serious. Although European Union is a well developed area in the world, the unbalanced economic development between the member countries are still quite serious.
