Mass customization (MC) is a new production mode, which integrates the advantages of customization mode and mass production organically. By using the advanced technologies and management ideas, such as product family and product platform, advanced manufacturing technology, e-commerce, flexibility production management and agile supply chain management, mass customization could satisfy customers' individual requirements at almost the same cost and efficiency as mass production does, without sacrificing enterprises' economic benefit. Mass customization will become the main production mode in the 21st century.Mass customization has been focused by the national and international academe and business field at the same time. But there is obviously insufficient research on collaboration mechanism and methods between MC enterprises. Aiming at the shortage, this paper presents a systematical study on inter-enterprise cooperation model in MC supply chain. The main research works are as follows.It establishes demand models of MC supply chain from four different perspectives, including organization view, function view, information view and resource view. By analyzing the models, inter-enterprise cooperation requirement characteristics and main issues of this paper are ascertained. After the introduction and the analysis of multi-agent system (MAS) communication mechanism and agent interoperability standard, a MAS based interaction architecture for MC enterprises is put forward to resolve communication problem between heterogeneous information systems of different enterprises.MC supplier evaluation and selection problem is studied. It presents a two-stage decision model for universal and customized component supplier selection separately. The shortcoming of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in application to group decision making is pointed out. And to overcome it, a compatibility improvement based ranking algorithm is proposed, which is suitable for incomplete matrix as well. Aiming at the first stage of supplier selection, establishing supplier warehouse, it presents different index systems for universal and customized component supplier,and studies the index quantify and unify methods. Then an improved AHP based MC supplier warehouse establishing model is brought forward. It also researches on how to decide the supply proportion, when several universal component suppliers supply the MC manufacturer together.It researches on the lot-sizing and inventory management issue between MC manufacturer and its suppliers. The lot-sizing and inventory control problem between MC manufacturer and its universal or customized component suppliers is described as a uniform expression. Then considering the self-decision of MC manufacturer and the uni-decision of MC supply chain separately, it puts forward a compute simulation based uniform inventory optimization model, which is suitable for all kinds of inventory products. Under the uni-decision of MC supply chain, negotiation and stimulation strategies between MC manufacturer and its suppliers are studied.MC supply chain's dynamic scheduling problem in the customized production process after customer order discoupling point (CODP) is studied. After describing the dynamic scheduling problem in MC supply chain, it studies the rules expression method for order decomposition structures and restrictions, and presents a multi-agent based intelligent ant algorithm, which is assisted by expert system. Under the hypotheses of complete information share and partial information share, it establishes the ant algorithm based dynamic scheduling models for MC supply chain separately. And by some application cases, the two models are proved and compared with each other.Finally, it summarizes the whole paper, and pointes out the further study's directions.The main research focuses and innovations of this paper are as follows: to put forward a compatibility improvement based AHP ranking algorithm, which is suitable for incomplete matrix as well; to present a two-stage decision model for supplier selection in MC supply chain; to establish a compute simulation based uniform inventory optimization model for all kinds of inventory products in MC supply chain; to bring forward an ant colony algorithm based multi-enterprise interaction and scheduling model for MC supply chain under the hypothesis of partial information share.
