Research On The Formation And Development Of Modern Service Clusters

Since 1990s, the global industry structure has been gradually speeding up theprocess to focus on the service. Accompanied with the trend of the serviceorientation of the global economy, the modern service gradually separated from thetraditional service and presented a rapid expansion. Modern service becomes thesignificant pillar of new economy. On the base of the research fruit of the ecologytheory by the continual track of the latest theory innovation and practicedemonstration home and abroad, the dissertation would find the comparabilitybetween modern service clusters and the ecological population. The dissertationdepends on the integration of theoretic research with the demonstration research, ofthe qualitative analysis with the quantitative analysis and of the conclusion with thededuction to explore the formation system, growth path and development mode ofmodern service clusters. The dissertation has carried out quantitative analysis of theindustry concentration situation of the modern service industry of 31 provinces inour country and demonstration contrast studies of the modern services cluster onBeijing, Shanghai and Wuhan. The dissertation also suggested the route andrelevance policy of the development of modern services cluster. The research hascertain theory significance and practical significance of the development of themodern services cluster.Aimed at modern service clusters, the dissertation analyzes the concept andcharacter of modern service clusters and compares the modern service clusters withthe traditional service clusters. Moreover, the dissertation utilizes the ecologytheory as the dominant theory foundation and applies the industry cluster theory totake apart the ecological characteristics of modern service clusters.The dissertation puts the research start on the economy and diseconomy of themodern service cluster and concludes that modern service clusters is one dynamicbalance of the economy drive and diseconomy drive produced by the cluster. Thedissertation also analyzes the particularity of the development drive system ofmodern service clusters, discloses the ecological condition of the modern servicecluster, including catalyst, nutritional agent, support environment and highdependence. The dissertation also introduces the formation ways of the modernservice clusters.On the base of the research on the ecological relations among the enterprise inmodern service clusters, the dissertation puts forward two co-evolution modes of modern service clusters, i.e. competition evolution and symbiosis evolution. Theanalysis and discussion aiming at the logistic model of population convolutionreveals the drive system for the growth of modern service clusters. The ecologytheory is used to research on the complete course of the evolution of modernservice clusters from the initial germination, industrial scale to complete maturity.The dissertation also discloses the evolution path of modern service clusters.On the base of the research of the carrying capacity and innate rare of increaseat the logistic growth model of modern service cluster, the dissertation depends onthe relevant theories of the ecology to bring forward the theory basis, essentialprinciple and concrete objective of the ecological mode of modern service clusters.It constitutes three ecological modes for the development of modern serviceclusters.Analyzing of the development status quo of modern service clusters in China,the dissertation performs the quantification analysis of six home modern serviceindustries in terms of spatial Gini coefficient, spatial concentration index andindustry concentration., which cover estate, scientific research and comprehensivetechnology service, leasehold and business services, education and broadcast,movie & TV, finance and insurance and sanitation & social welfare. Meanwhile,the dissertation also carries out the comparison research on the development statusquo and mode of modern service clusters in Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan. Thedissertation performs in three cities and demonstrates the concentration level of themodern service in the above three cities.Lastly, the dissertation designs the logical path for the development of modernservice clusters and discusses the rudder to develop home modern service clusters.The dissertation puts forward the dominant industries among home modern serviceclusters and takes apart the relevant countermeasures to develop home modernservice clusters.
