In the knowledge economy era, knowledge has become a key resource for creating wealth. However, high fluids of employees who hold special knowledge bring enterprises high risk of knowledge loss and profit cut. Due to the unique knowledge bringing the difficulties to imitate, enterprises began to attach importance to Organizaitional Memory and to seek for Knowledge Management Systems to improve organizational memory, promote knowledge innovation and stop knowledge loss.However, the knowledge management system is so young that it needs further improvement in theory and methods. Knowledge orgnization in organization dimensionality weaken the relation of Orgnizaional Memory and businesses of enterprises. Policies system of transfering and sharing of tacit knowledge have not been maturity. The development theories and mothes of knowledge management system continue with that of management information still. These have led to high failure rate of projects of knowledge management.To solve these issues, an organizational memory–oriented position knowledge management system is presented in this dissertation. Focusing on the knowledge work from position level instead of organization level, it provides a new method system to develop knowledge management system from theoretical framework, system analysis and system implementation.First, in the article the special role of positions to organizational memory is analyzed with the position knowledge-door model. Organizational memory will be organized and classified by the nature of knowledge taxonomy and liquidity in position level. And the characteristics and management emphases of each knowledge type will be given. Then the content framework of position knowledge management system is designed to describe the objects and tasks of position knowledge management system, finishing the theoretical framework of position knowledge management system.Then, a model system is designed to describe organizational structure, knowledge structure and knowledge process of position knowledge management system with unstructured knowledge and complicated knowledge process. The model system includes the chart of position structure, the chart of knowledge structure, the chart position knowledge distribution and the chart of knowledge process. And these models compose a new kind of system analysis methodology.Then, in the implementation of methods, types of knowledge and extensive unstructured high, knowledge process complicated characters, post an organizational chart, knowledge structure, job knowledge distribution, and the knowledge flowchart four models from organizational structure, knowledge and process knowledge three angles to create jobs knowledge management system model, the formation of knowledge management systems analysis methodologies.Then, based on the characteristics of the different types of position knowledge, the appropriate knowledge representation for each of them is found out. Especially, tow new methods of relative mode-based knowledge representation and chaos fuzzy logic-based knowledge representation are brought forward to meet the need of knowledge storage.Furthermore, through the creation of the transform model between position knowledge and organizational memory, the tow driver factors of transform position knowledge and organizational memory are found out, they are behaviors of employees and technology. And these driver factors tell organizations that they should make strategies to promote knowledge sharing and transformation from management policies and information technologies. In management policies, the principal-agent theory is introduced to solve the problems brought by behaviors of employees; and some strategies such as monitoring, signing contracts and incentives are designed on the basis of the theory. In information technology, a network of practice (NoPs) is suggested to build.Finally, a hierarchy of position knowledge management system is design to instruct the overall development of position knowledge management system.And some important system functions are designed in detail, technologies that they need are proposed. Organizational memory-oriented position knowledge management system is a multi-faced system. In the paper, according to the features of knowledge management system features, suitable development theory and methods are proposed, and management and technical improvements are made for some specific process of knowledge management. These researches are the development to knowledge management theory and methods, and will play an important guiding role in implementing knowledge management systems.
