Presently, economic integration has been become the principal trend of globalization, countries( regions )of the world all try their best to join the different types of economic integration, and which provides a demonstration effects for the economic integration between Mainland China and Taiwan. If the two sides of the Taiwan Straits can conform to the global trend and cooperate harmoniously, a win-win situation can be created. The tendency of the economic relation between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits will depend on how to apply wisdom and knowledge to solve the cross-straits relation problems. Therefore, according to the contents and the characters, this thesis has two parts that associate closely in the theme and relatively independent. In the first part, the tendency of cross-strait economic relations in the future will be discussed, and in the second part, the issue of economic integration between Mainland China and Taiwan will be researched. It is prospected the development of all possible models of cross-strait economic relations with different theoretical perspective in the first part; such as the perspective of the regional background on the development of cross-strait economic relations, cross-strait industrial division, trade and investment interaction as well as the resulting interdependent relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits. We will carry out research into the future development and the evolution logic of cross-strait economic relations synthetically and inferentially. This thesis on the possible development model of cross-strait economic relations in the future may be summarized as follows:The harmonious integration model, that is integration, namely, interdependent, symbiotic and coexistent model. The zero sum interruption model, that is intercourse interrupted and national(regional) isolated model. The reciprocity and co-opetition model, that is mutually-beneficial cooperation, confliction, cooperation, mutual reciprocity of winning or losing competing model. This thesis makes overall exploration and comprehensive comparison of these possible development models, hereby to find out the ideal and suitable model of two sides of the Taiwan Straits. In the second part, this article mainly explores the problems of how to "establishment" and how to "implement" the economic integration between mainland China and Taiwan. In the first part, we will discusses the establishment of generally accepted economic order and correspondingly institutional arrangements between the two sides, however, order and system is a kind of cross-strait public goods, how can them to be supplied? By using the supply-demand model of public goods, This paper will select the appropriate path of cross-strait economic integration according to the two sides' preference and the resource they have. This article summarizes the "third path" as the most realistic option of cross-strait economic integration, namely, a trilogy of "the Mainland stages, the two sides writes, the system performs".On the "implementation" issues, according to the conception of "sub-regional economic zones", this study propose the regional economic development model, as an important basis for the cross-strait economic integration, of the "small and complete" economic circle which was formed by the combination of several neighboring cities. This thesis adopts a tentative evolution ways, such as "point to surface", " priority to the easy" or " wading across the stream by feeling the way ", simultaneously, design the three-stage development, namely "Xia Jin first, Fujian and Taiwan second, the cross-straits finally", to be the specific steps of cross-strait economic relations development and integrated approach in practice.
