As an important part of the subtle reservoir, the exploration on carbonate reservoir is an important approach to increase the oil and gas production. Compared with clastic rocks, carbonate rocks have its own characteristics, conventional geophysical methods (such as inversion) can not meet the requirements of identification of carbonate reservoirs, and to identify the carbonate reservoirs is difficult.Under the guide of sequence stratigraphic theory and methods, trough analysis of the drilling data, logging curve, seismic data and the results of previous studies, discusses in detail the Ordovician carbonate reservoir properties, reservoir type and geophysical characteristics, analyzes the controlling factors of the carbonate reservoirs, points out the problems and difficulties in the identification of the carbonate reservoirs using seismic attributes.Aimed at the diversity and heterogeneity of carbonate reservoir rocks, I study and analyze the characteristics of the seismic response firstly, and recognized that the those techniques which uses to identify the carbonate rocks should be able to describe the external form and the inner characteristics of the carbonate rock reservoirs; then I conducted a comprehensive analysis and comparison to the seismic attribute techniques, selected a series of seismic attribute techniques which fit the carbonate rock reservoirs, and do a deeply research on some key techniques and developed 4 software on the OpenWorks software platform and formed a series of software products which has independent intellectual property rights.Through a number of key techniques, we established a seismic attribute analysis technique series in carbonate reservoir predication, took the Lianglitage formation which locates in Ordovician as the research object, analyze its sedimentary characteristics, fracture characteristics and fluid characteristics; conducted a comprehensive evaluation and established an accumulation model based on above analysis results.The carbonate reservoir evaluation result is consistent with drilling, and the drilling coincidence rate can be reach to 85%. It shown that seismic attribute techniques, like the absorption coefficients estimation technique and the fracture predication, are effective and reliable in the carbonate reservoir prediction. With the improvement of the quality of seismic data, more attention should be paid in fractures in the carbonate rock reservoirs research, and adopt two strategy of carbonate rock reserviors research, one is cave and fracture reservoirs are equal important, the other is reef-type and karst reservoirs are equal important.
