In this paper, Sm2Fe17flakes have been synthesized by surfactant-assisted HEBM and werenitrided at lower temperature of300-350oC in a short time. The synthesized Sm2Fe17N3flakes stillhave a texture and obtained a coercivity of3.56kOe. The microstructure, phase structure, properties and the nitrogenation mechanism at lower temperature of Sm2Fe17flakes has beendiscussed. SmCo5nanoflakes and single-crystal hard magnetic Sm2Co17nanparticles have beenprepared by surfactant-assisted HEBM. The effect of the content and types of surfactants andmilling process on the formation of nanoflakes and nanoparticles has been investigated. Theseparated Sm-Co-based hard nanoparticles with a coercivity of35.5kOe have been prepared by amodified mechanochemical processing. The SmCo5/Sm2O3hard magnetic nanoparticles withcore/shell structure have been obtained after low energy ball milling washing proces. The phases, microstructure, particle sizes and magnetic properties of the synthesized Sm-Co nanoparticleshave been investigated.
