The rational construction of novel molecule-based magnetic materials has become one of the most attractive subjects in the fields of coordination chemistry and molecule magnetism. In this thesis, twenty-five polynuclear macrocyclic complexes with oxamido-bridge have been synthesized and twenty-four of them have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography, IR spectra, Uv-visble, ESR and elemental analyses. Furthermore, fluorescence and magnetic properties of some complexes have also been studied. The main contents are summarized as follows:1. Three macrocyclic oxamido-bridged mononuclear complexes CuL1, CuL2and NiL1have been synsthesized using template method. The complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography, elemental analyses, IR, Uv-visble and ESR.2. By using the mononuclear complexes CuL1and CuL2as precursors, two trinuclear complexes [Cu2M](M=Cu, Co), two tatrauclear complexes [Cu3M](M=Mn, Co) and one hexanuclear complex [Cu4Cr2] have been synsthesized and structurally characterized. Furthermore, magnetic properties of some complexes have also been preliminary studied and analyzed.3. By using the mononuclear complex CuL1as ligand and changing the solvents, six Pentanuclear complexes [Cu4Ln] and six octanuclear complexes [Cu6Ln2](Ln=Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho) have been synsthesized and structurally characterized. Moreover, the luminescent and magnetic properties of some complexes have also been preliminary studied and analyzed.4. By using the mononuclear complexes CuL1and NiL1as ligands and using H2bdc, H3btc, H4btec as co-ligands, two1D chain complexes and three2D layer complexes have been synsthesized and structurally characterized. Moreover, the topological structures and magnetic properties of some complexes have also been studied and analyzed.
