In our country, more than73%oil and gas resources bury in-depth, the deep well and ultra-deep wells become more and more, but in drilling of deep and ultra-deep wells, we have met many technical difficulties, the average ROP is low, which has seriously affected the exploration of deep oil and gas resources. The turbo-drill composite drilling technology is one of the effective methods of enhancing the ROP of the deep and ultra-deep wells. The American turbo-drill technology is on top position of the world, but implements the technical block to our country, which they do not sell the product, only provide the limited technical service, and the price is expensive, therefore there is an urgent need to break-through the technology in our country. This article has carried on detailed and the thorough generalized analysis on the basic structure of turbo-drill, the principle of work and the principle of design, invented cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, and established the elementary theory of cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, designed and made cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, and carried on inside and outside experimental study.This article includes seven parts, brief introduction, the basic theory research of turbo-drill design, the cordwood-type compound turbo-drill research in the deep and ultra-deep wells, the structure design and development of Φ127mm the deceleration turbo-drill, the supporting processing technology research on downhole motor composite drilling in ultra-deep well, the ROP on site research on turbo-drill composite drilling in ultra-deep well, the conclusion and suggestion. This article was on the basis of analyzing the working principle of the turbo-drill, formulated the detailed turbo-drill design flow, established the design theory on cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, set up the parameter computation model of cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, designed and made Φ240mm,Φ172mm and Φ127mm, these three kinds of cordwood-type compound turbo-drill, carried on the three kinds of turbo stator and rotor laboratory test of Φ172mm, the turbo technical parameter met with the test result, and complied with the principle of superposition. In this foundation, the article conducted the thorough research on the supporting processing technology of turbo-drill composite drilling in deep and ultra-deep well, established the hydraulic parameters of turbo-drill composite drilling (the most superior flowrate and most superior nozzle diameter), drilling parameter (WOB and ROP) optimized computation model, and built the rationale for the oil-field test of the turbo-drill composite drilling. In addition, the ROP test of two kind of different models of Φ127mm cordwood-type compound turbo-drill carried on in the8321.3~8405meter section of Tashen No.1Well and5915~6247meter section of TH12509Well in Tahe oil field, the average ROP increased48%~133%, which established the theoretical and experimental foundation of ROP of down-hole motor in deep and ultra-deep well.The article finally carried on the summary of the full text, indicated the direction of next step of researchs on ROP of turbo-drill composite drilling in deep and ultra-deep well.
