In recent years, an increasing number of deep and ultra-deep wells are being drilled withthe increasing efforts in oil and gas prospecting procedure. Many problems such as drillingtool failure, slow drilling speed, inclination control and design of hydraulic parameters mightoccur owing to the effect of lithology, high temperature and pressure and other factors.inultra-deep wells. Therefore, research on deep and ultra-deep well drilling technology is ofgreat necessity. Firstly, the design of hydraulic parameters in deep and ultra-deep well isstudied in the paper. The pressure loss calculation model of in the drilling process of deep andultra-deep well is established based on the study of the effect of pressure and temperature ondrilling fluid density and rheology, the and the hydraulic parameters are optimized as well.Secondly, hole deviation control technology of the deep ultra-deep well is studied in thispaper,in addition, technical approach of controlling and correction method is proposed.Thirdly, the drilling rate improvement technology in deep and ultra-deep wells is analyzed andsummarized, thus the drilling speed is greatly improved, the operation time and the operationcost are also reduced. Finally, further research on the cementing technology in deep andultra-deep wells is conducted, therefore the foundation of safe and efficient drilling andsubsequent production is laid.
