The competition of Modern enterprise is decided not only by advanced production technology and production equipment, but also by the advanced management. Production planning and production scheduling is the key of management techniques in improving business efficiency and economic benefits. As the subject both in theoretical research and exploitation of application system, the problem of production planning and production scheduling optimization is greatly concerned by experts and scholars in the field of management, mathematics, computer applications etc. Therefore, the research of production planning and production in chemical industry has an important theoretical and practical value.PSO, a swarm intelligence optimization algorithm, has been widely applied for its character of versatility, group searching ability and less dependence on the information of specific problems.In this paper, we illustrate the basic features of particle swarm optimization, the improvements of the deficiency in PSO algorithm and study the mixed production line planning of caustic soda and PVC production and synthetic ammonia process scheduling problem. A mathematical model is solved by particle swarm algorithm. Specific study as follows: 1. It’s necessary to mend the basic PSO algorithm because the basic PSO algorithm is easy to fall into local optimal solution for its accumulation of particles. Furthermore, a simplex particle swarm optimization algorithm is combined from basic PSO algorithm and traditional simplex algorithm, to improve the local optimal ability. And they were tested by test functions.2. According to the maximum benefits for the enterprise, a process model of industrial project was established. Series section model and parallel section model of process scheduling were built in analyzing and discussing the status of Industry Process.3. According to the example of mix Production Line of caustic soda and PVC, a multi-product multi-constraint planning model was established. And it was solved by the improved PSO algorithm. The results show that the model is feasible, the algorithm is effective.4. Take the small and medium ammonia process for an example. By analyzing and discussing the reaction of ammonia synthesis process and the complex process of heat recovery situation, we established an ammonia optimization model which is restricted by complex chemical reaction. And the problem was solved by PSO algorithm to validate the feasibility and validity.5. Based on the actual conditions and the established model of small and medium ammonia, we designed a synthetic ammonia process scheduling system.Finally, the research summarizes contents of the thesis and pointes out the deficiency in this paper and put forward the next expectation of the work. At he same time, we analyze the prospects of scheduling problem of production planning in process industry, and made the scheduling process industry theory more closely to actual production.
