This work focuses on the attractive research fields of coordination polymer based on triazole ligands. Twenty three compounds have been obtained under hydrothermal reaction on the basis of triazole ligands. They have been characterized by X-ray single crystal analysis, elemental analyses, IR spectra, fluorescence spectra, magnetic measurements, catalysis, and adsorption measurements. Main contents are as following:1. Two transition-metal compounds have been synthesized by using the ligand5-(3-methyl-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isophthalic acid (H2L1). Compound1is a one-dimensional single-walled metal-organic nanotube. Phenyl groups from the ligand are all pointing to the pipe inside. In addition, benzene adsorption, sensing small molecules and capturing Tb(III) hydrated ion containing solution properties of compound1have been investigated. Compound2is a2-fold interpenetrated3D architecture.2. Two transition-metal compounds have been synthesized by using the ligand5-(3-methyl-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-4#-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isophthalic acid (H2L2). Compound3is a3D coordination polymer. Rhodamine B dyeing experiments exhibited that there were residual carboxyl groups on the surface of compound3. UV-vis results showed that more lysozyme was adsorbed onto the surface of compound3than BSA at pH7.4. At the same time, XPS spectra were also investigated to verify the results. This is the first complex to be used for selective adsorption of proteins.3. Two transition-metal compounds have been synthesized by using the ligand3-(3-(pyridin-4-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)pyridine (HL3). Compound5can be described as a3-fold parallel interpenetrated bsn beta-Sn topology. One-pot solvothermal treatments of acetonitrile, water, LiOH, Cu(CH3COO)2·H2O and3-(5-(pyridin-4-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyridine (HL3) yielded a rare copper cyanide compound6. Heterogeneous catalytic activity measurements of metanil yellow (MY) dye were also investigated. This provides a new method for the green-synthesis of the cyanide complexes.4. Nine novel lanthanide-based coordination polymers have been synthesized by using the ligands4-[3-methyl-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl]benzoic acid (HL4). Magnetic and fluorescent properties have been studied. The results showed that, in Dy(III) complex (9), ferromagnetic interaction between Dy(III) ions are present, the fluorescence lifetime of Yb(III) complex (15) could be expressed with three exponential behavior:0.7744μs(30.11%),5.588μs(55.98%) and14.20μs(13.91%).5. Five transition-metal compounds have been synthesized by the ligand3-acetamido-5-(3-methyl-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzoic acid (HL5). Magnetic and fluorescent properties have been studied.
