The Summary Reviews Of Official Building In Qing Dynasty Study History

Under the Institution of Building Official’s background, the system of Official Building inQing Dynasty is composed of Gong cheng zuo fa ze li, the buildings in Qing Dynasty andoperations in building.This paper analyzes the achievement about the research of Official Building in Qing Dynasty,and consists of two parts. The first part is the achievement of Chinese Architecture researched bythe Society for Reseach in Chinese Architecture.In1920s and1930s, under the direction of ZhuQiqian, the close reading and the explication of Gong cheng zuo fa ze li was initiated by theSociety. In this period, the main workings are researching of text, terms and Yangshi Lei’s archives.And at the same time, the works of traditional architecture measure and repair of buildingspromoted the creation of the concept that Protection of architecture, and enlightened how todesign new architecture. After1949, the thoughts of the Society still progress, Wang Puzi who amember of the Society published the book named Annotation of Gong cheng zuo fa ze li at1995.Today, the work still recognized as definitive in its field.The second part is the achievement after the Society, the main content combs the researchingabout Official Building in Qing Dynasty since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Capital Cultural Relic Heritage Committee has experienced for many years until today (now itsname is Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage), and it has devoted to protection and repair ofOfficial Building in Qing Dynasty. The research of the operations in traditional Chinesearchitecture was initiated by the Committee. The Committee also has done many workings aboutmaking of some traditional Chinese architecture models and drawing some copies of color paintedworks. Many company， such as The Palace Museum, Beijing Second Housing ConstructionProject Company, Beijing Garden and Traditional Chinese Architecture Project Company and soon， have obtained the plenteous achievements in the research of the operations in traditionalChinese architecture. They compile many operating rules in building and the rules of normal cost,and have many publications about operations in traditional Chinese architecture. Besides，Since1949, many panorama works of architectural history analyze and summarize Official Building inQing Dynasty in different ways.This paper careful analyzes the modern research results of Official Building in Qing Dynasty.On the foundation ofthe summary of research purposes, methods, achievements and impacts, we will demonstrate thetypical academic thinking and research methods of different periods, andclarify the existing problems and the future direction,with the purpose of providing a reference forrelated research, exploring the new research methods and research logics, promoting the continualimproving and deepening and making a breakthrough, and then contributing into improving theframework of Chinese Architectural History.The last chapter of the paper is a case study. Tower of Brightness of mausoleum in QingDynasty were chosen as the object of study. The aim is to elucidate the role of gong cheng zuo faze li in practical engineer.
