The world developments is with the civilization to have influenced the human beings for centuries. The urban developments, the literal scripture and the patterns of the city are the backgrounds for judging the human civilization. This huge amount of precious information is from the local civilization. The resources of the human developments are from the urbenisation of our ancestors. To research the urbenisation helps us to understand the booms and the depressions of various civilizations. It can make us understand clearly the contemporary society by researching the development of this urbensation.The emotional behavior of the human beings will be influenced by this urban developments. The research on the urban developments has become an important part of which of the city now.It can help us control the further urban developments by understanding the history of it. One of the topics for the urban planning is to research the urban developments.Nanchang is the capital city located at the northern central area in Jiangxi province. The early civilization is from Ganjiang River which runs from southern to northern part in Nanchang. The urban developments in Nanchang was started more than2000years ago. The populations of Wu (Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province), Yue (Fujian province, Zhejiang province and Guangdong province) and Chu (Hubei province) constructed urban buildings in Nanchang.The design of the urban developments in Nanchang was influenced by which in Fujian province, Guangdong province and the Central plain areas (Middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, including Shanxi province, the large area of Henan province, the western area of Shandong province and the southern area of Hebei province). The original purpose of writing this thesis is for researching the multi-culture influences on urban developments and exploring the initial urban space patterns and characters to the historical development in Nanchang. It also analyses the urban developments with various historical periods, with the views of the local cultures and the strategic location in Nanchang.
