In China, production devices of fan and dump are widely used, and their power consumption account for about 40 percent of the total power generating capacity. But there is a defect of low operation rate and high power consumption, resulting in a great waste of power. Nowadays the most researches on energy-saving speed regulation system are limited to tens of kilowatts. There is less research on huge power rotor speed regulation system of megawatt power at present, so the research on huge power high voltage energy-saving speed regulation system becomes hot, and it has a great significance for the national economy.This work proposes the analysis and design method of 4MW-10KV high voltage and huge power current rotor chopper speed regulation system to solve the big problems in the large projects.In theory, taking 4MW current rotor speed regulation system as the object of research to establish a small packet interleaving signal model based on multiple parallel chopper circuit, and put forward the calculation formula of power loss of power component in huge power speed regulation system, and establish a model of equivalent heat circuit of cooling system. In the fulfillment of the speed regulation system,4MW speed regulation system hardware and mechanical module scheme has been worked out, the application of liquid cooling system in high voltage has been broken through. The rotor chopper speed regulation system has been put into practice in the industrial sites and it has been working highly satisfactory and prove to be energy saving and significant. After verification, the 4MWrotor chopper speed regulation system has been the first case that has been put into usage successfully and at the same time putting the liquid cooling system into practice in the device of high voltage has been also the first case.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1) Aiming at solving the model problem of multiple parallel chopper circuit of 4MW rotor chopper speed regulation system to establish a general small signal model of multiple parallel chopper circuit based on SSA, so that give a solution to the model problem of multiple parallel chopper circuit in synchronous driving mode and staggered driving mode, and provide the theoretical basis for design calculation for chopper circuit component parameter of 4MW speed regulation system.(2) In order to solve the problem of system security and performance in the high power of parallel chopper circuit in synchronous driving mode and staggered driving mode, put forward the packet interleaving driving model and solve the problem of excessive current ripple of synchronous parallel mode and staggered over current power components in parallel mode, and reduce the design capacity of the system and improve the power factor of the chopper circuit.(3) In order to solve the design problem of liquid cooling system of MW huge power chopper circuit to propose the method for calculating the power loss of IGBT power system, and establish the liquid cooling system equivalent heat circuit model based on the isothermal method, and work out the equivalent thermal resistance calculation formula for the liquid cooling system of one heat transfer process and two heat transfer process, and solve the liquid cooling system parameter design problem and provide a theoretical basis for the design of huge power liquid cooling system.(4) In order to work out the solution to evenly cooling problem of the chopper circuit power components in liquid cooling system to analyze the temperature distribution of cooling plate, and propose a design method of IGBT cooling plate and parallel water structure. The results of simulation and experiment can meet the needs of 4MW speed regulation system.(5) In the fulfillment of system hardware circuit, design the models of system of high and low voltage optically coupled isolation circuit, IGBT optical drive signal distribution circuit, IGBT signal detection circuit,SCR phase matching, drive and protection circuit, IGBT drive and protection circuit, make the fulfillment of regulation system hardware become true.(6) In the aspect of integrated design of mechanical structure of chopper circuit, design the chopper circuit integration module of high power circuit/low power circuit/liquid cooling system, reduce the stray inductance in the chopper circuit, complete the scheme of high and low voltage isolation and water and electricity isolation, and break through the the obstacle of application of liquid cooling system in the high voltage huge power rotor speed regulation system.(7) In the rectifier/inverter circuit modular structure, make SCR/DIODE drive/detection/protection/radiator module design, optimize the rectifier/inverter air duct design, solve the problem of heat dissipation and protection of rectifier/inverter and enhance the overall stability of the system.(8) In March,2014,4MW high voltage huge power current rotor chopper speed regulation system has been debugged successfully at the industrial site of Yong’an Cement Plant in Gongyi of Henan Province. It has been operating highly satisfactory up to now and it makes more than one million yuan economical benefits each machine per year and it has practical significance.
