Chinese Economy has entered transformation period and reform has entered a crucial period, the development mode of transportation has changed from the total scale of the driving mode to the structure adaptation oriented mode. With the transformation of pace accelerate, rapid changes in demand structure and supply structure of passenger transport is not adjusted, the structural contradiction of supply and demand growing, seriously, and affecting the transport efficiency of resource allocation. The key to solve the contradiction between the supply and demand structures of passenger transportation is to clarify the relationship between transportation and economy, and the evolution mechanism of transportation supply and demand structure. Therefore, structural optimization of comprehensive transportation would be considered as an integrated optimization problem of complex system in this thesis, and the author try to use comprehensive method that integrated economics, transportation planning and systematic theory to analyze and solve the difficulty. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) The Evaluation of Integrated Transport Structure Adaptability Based on Multi-Agent Collaboration Evolutionary Algorithm. The paper applied economic adaptability theory and the theory of complex adaptive system to analyze the structural adaptability of passenger transport system, and divided into two aspects, internal adaptability and external adaptability, and the external adaptability including economic adaptability, social adaptation and ecological adaptability. The dynamic adaptability of passenger transport structure is evaluated by using the multi-agent collaboration evolutionary algorithms, and the paper takes Hubei as a typical case for verification.(2) Evolution Mechanism Research on the Passenger Transport Structure Based on Complex Adaptive System. The paper divided China’s phase stages of economy and transportation by using economic development phase stages theories for reference. The paper analyzed the stage characteristics generation, evolution mechanism of passenger transport demand according to the passenger volume. Then the theory of complex adaptive system is applied in the process of analysis the evolution mechanism of passenger transport structure.The paper analyzed the evolution of passenger transport structure, affecting factors and the mechanism of system evolution in our country, then constructed comprehensive passenger transportation structure evolution model is constructed.(3) The Optimization of Comprehensive Passenger Transportation Structure Model Based on Supply-Demand Equilibrium. According to the basic properties of integrated transport planning and the bi-level programming ideology, the bi-level programming approach and multi-objective programming methods are combined to build a double multi-objective optimization programming model of comprehensive passenger transportation structure, which based on supply-demand equilibrium, equalization of public services and resource-saving and environment-friendly on top and minimizing generalized cost at the bottom. And a multi-objective genetic algorithms is designed in this thesis, Hubei Province is a typical case for the validity analysis and verification of the model.
