One of the strategic objectives in the next generation air transport system is to establish automated air traffic management system and trajectory planning module plays an important role in it.The systematic and comprehensive trajectory planning theory was formulated incorporating strategic and tactical trajectory planning methods, besides, it can provides guidance for the automated air traffic management system. The principal research works are listed as follows:First, strategic trajectory planning of single aircraft and multiple aircrafts were presented and strategic trajectory planning theory was formulated. For the strategic trajectory planning of single aircraft, this paper constructed a trajectory evolution model, which described the state switch between different flight phases and the continuous change of weight, airspeed, altitude as well as distance in the same stage. The differential petri net was used to describe the trajectory evolution process from macro-perspective and micro-perspective.The heuristic algorithm was introduced to optimize the Kriging model parameters in order to improve its applicability.For the planning of multiple aircraft strategic trajectory, this paper constructed a cellular automata model to describe the microscopic feature of aircrafts according to segment structure as well as aircraft running state.The multi-aircraft max-algebra coupled model and conflict pre-deployment model were proposed based on competition mechanism at the intersection of air routes. The objective function was formulated based on the relation of input variables, output variables as well as state variables and the multi-aircraft conflict-free trajectories were acquired through formal inference.Second, real-time trajectory planning of single aircraft and multiple aircrafts were presented and tactical trajectory planning theory was presented. For the aircraft dead reckoning, the hidden markov model was proposed based on various random factors. Besides, the aircraft rolling dead reckoning model was established according to hidden markov model. The data clustering model was presented based on heuristic algorithm in order to get the symbolic sequences of original historical observations. The heuristic algorithm was also used for the purpose of improving the hidden markov model parameters and the standard B-W training algorithm was used to get the final hidden markov model parameters.For the real-time trajectory planning of multi-aircrafts,the model predictive control method was proposed incorporating airway space constraints and aircraft performance constraint,and it can adapt to the state change of airspace.The linear wind filter model and nonlinear wind filter model were formulated according to aircraft motion analysis and the method take wind filter model as an important factor to the calibration process of aircraft forecast model.In the end,the heuristic algorithm was used to get the optimal inputs aircraft conflict resolution.
