In combination with the reality of countryside in China, these problems were widespread, such as:poor thermal insulation performance and large energy consumption of building envelope, poor seismic performance and so on. In addition, a large amount of construction waste were produced every year, if its resource utilization changed waste into treasure, the ecological significance and economic significance would be highlight. The paper focused on the National Science and Technology Support Program of ’The Research and Demonstration on Seismic Key Technology of Countryside Suitability in Different Regions’, chooses the hot summer and cold winter region which had 40% of the population and more than 50% of GDP and the cold region which had the most demanding of insulation, designed a new type of self-insulation and bearing block for rural houses in each region, and carried out a series of experimental and theoretical studies on the thermal performance, basic mechanical properties and seismic performance of the new type block wall. The main research work and results were as follows:The hot summer and cold winter region1. Study on mix proportion design of recycled concrete block (RCB)The preparation process and physical properties of recycled aggregate were studied. The design method of mix proportion of RCB was put forward, and the best replacement ratio of recycled aggregate was put forward.2. Experimental study on basic mechanical properties of self-insulation RCB masonryRespectively, the masonry compressive test, along the slitted shear performance test and shear compression composite shear test were carried out, the basic mechanical properties of this type of masonry were obtained, and the basic characteristics of this kind of masonry were mastered. The formula for calculating the average value of the compressive strength and the average value of the seam strength were put forward. The measured shear pressure curves were drawn, the recommended limits of shear failure characteristics were given, and the theoretical formula of shear capacity of shear compression composite was put forward based on the shear strength of the joint along the seam. For the first time, the composite strength of pure pressure, pure shear and shear compression was unified to a calculation formula, which can achieve a smooth transition.3. Shaking table test of masonry with ’self-contained’ RCAThe seismic shaking table have been tested on the single span full-scale model with ’self-contained’ RCA, the failure characteristics of the model structure, the dynamic characteristic and the test point reaction were analyzed, and the seismic capacity of the model structure was evaluated. The formula of seismic shear capacity of’self-contained’RCA masonry was put forward, to provide theoretical basis for further application system.The cold region1. Type design of new energy-saving concrete self-insulation block (ECSB)The multi objective optimization was carried out of thermal, mechanical properties and bulk density for ECSB. Developed a new type of ECSB only with 280mm thickness to meet the energy saving requirements of the cold region. Design proposal for energy saving and thermal insulation of non uniform symmetrical arrangement in the outer thickness, to save raw materials, to reduce the cost. It put forward design recommendations of energy saving and thermal insulation for the non-uniform symmetrical arrangement of holes in the outer thickness; and suggest on energy saving and thermal insulation measures of ’the whole inserting heat preservation board with adjacent holes’.2. Experimental study on basic mechanical properties of ECSB masonryBroken through the standard and put forward the matching principle of’strong mortar and weak block’, the masonry compressive strength test and the shear strength test along the through crack were carried out, and the basic mechanical properties of ECSB masonry were obtained. And the formula of the average value of the compression strength and shear strength of this type of masonry were given.3. Experimental study on seismic performance of ECSB masonryLow cycle repeated load test of ECSB masonry were carried with’self-contained’system and the new matching principle, the failure characteristics of this type of wall are analyzed, and the seismic performance indexes were analyzed in detail, a new formula of the seismic shear capacity of the new type block wall was put forward. It provided theoretical basis for the application of the type block and the matching principle of ’the strong mortar weak block’.
