In this study, we focus on the sodic soil in western Jilin Province, through sampling in large-scale and dense sampling in field scale, laboratory analysis of soil properties of saline soil as the foundation data;determine the sampling locations information with GPS. To obtain thedistributions of salinity and the salts components of soil, we extractedthe Normalized Difference Vegetation Index from a Landsat-5TMimagery of the research region to regress the values under the regionalscale. In field scale using of an electromagnetic induction to obtain alarge amount of apparent conductivity data, combined with experimentaldata the indoor experiment obtained apparent conductivity analysis thecorrelation between the two, in order to predict the spatial correlation ofthe physicochemical properties of the soil with a large amount of dataobtained from the electromagnetic induction detected, to realize aquantitative study on soil physical and chemical properties of spatialcorrelation.1) In the west region of Jilin province soil texture is sandy, anddeterioration of soil structure is severe, region around Chagan nour tothe Xianghai reservoir, the deterioration for salinization is graduallyincreased from the azimuth of the west to the east, the of content chloride ion is the highest in the region around Chagan nour, indicating that the salt of regional migration is along the Holin gol.2) Under field scale soil physiochemical indices showed thespatial variability in grassland of Western Jilin province, spatialdistribution of salinity indices depended on the spatial locations.3) There is a good correlation between the index apparentconductivity and salinization indices offer the soil; and it can be usedas a quickly measurement for the spatial distribution of the salinityindices for this region.4) In field scale the spatial distribution of soil salinity is causedby different leaching condition, and the variety of micro-topographyand vegetation play the decisive role. The most severe salinity wasfound under the community of Suaeda corniculata which site onhigher zone of gentle gradual slope. The maximum value of theelectrical conductivity is2.8dS/m. the minimum salinity was foundunder the community of the Lactuca sibirica. All value of theelectrical conductivity was leass than o.2dS/m. The distribution ofsoil salinity in field scale could be considered as a consequence of theimpact of the surface water. It is a positive response of the salinity ofthe upper layer soil to the inefficient water gatherings, while with theincrement of the water gathering more to the waterlogged; it is anegative response of the salinity of the upper layer soil. 5) Using corresponding amount desulfurization gypsum forsoils within different exchangeable sodium for reclaiming practicecould make the work rapidly and efficiently.
