| Ranking at number1as the commonest malignancy in women, breast cancer has affected120million women worldwide each year, and about50million people die because of this disease per annum. In China, there is an average of12.7people per100,000incidence rate, making it as the second highest female malignancy ranking worldwide. In Indonesia, the incidence rate is14.8per100,000women. In Malaysia, the incidence rate is18%, meaning in every20women in Malaysia, there is one with breast cancer. Therefore, how to effectively control this disease has become the focus of clinical researches, surgical intervention as the mainstay of treatment, radiotherapy (RT) and chemoradiotherapy (chemoradiotherapy) as adjunctive treatment; where the prevention of recurrence and metastasis can be achieved by chemoradiotherapy, thus prolonging the lifespan of the patient and improving the quality of life with good results. But after the intervention of the human body during treatment, new problems arose, such as causing atypical pathological changes in breast cancer which brought more side effects and the emergence of new pathological conditions... Facing these chemoradiotherapy-induced atypical pathological changes, many clinical researchers seek second opinion from Chinese physicians to provide alternative solutions to these newly arisen issues. The pathological changes arising post-breast cancer chemoradiotherapy, is very similar to the "bad disease" which is mentioned in one of the four classic Chinese "Treatise on" theories."Treatise on" provides a systemic approach to the diagnosis, differentiation and treatment of this disease, which is one of the key elements that this article focuses on.Through summarizing the theory and its content, the association with breast cancer after chemoradiotherapy and this theory is revealed, thus application of this knowledge and theory on the diagnosis, pharmacological consideration, and treatment of post-chemoradiotherapy breast cancer patients are listed as below:1) Focus on the before and after changes of the patient’s condition2) Apply differential diagnosis thinking pattern3) Apply differential diagnosis thinking pattern4) Treat the stomach gas is the first main step of treatment5) Maintain calm and peaceful mind-set, avoid negative thinking6) Blend in prevention of recurrence into the overall treatment protocolThrough summarizing the "Treatise on" theory and application of chemoradiotherapy in breast cancer, on one hand, it has compensated the insufficiency of the research theory by further positioning and establishing the value of "Treatise on"; on the other hand, it has served as a clinical reference for further expanding the thinking and direction of treatment parameters for breast cancer, as well as setting a protocol/reference for miscellaneous diseases. |
