| This study focuses on the special characteristics of the traditional properties of traditional Chinese Medicines. In total,846traditional Chinese Medicines with documented toxicities from Zhong Hua Ben Cao are included. We collate their traditional properties which include species, toxicity,"Si Qi","Wu Wei","Gui Jing", efficacy and chemical constituents and study their relationships between these special properties. The aim of this study is to discover and conclude any trends and special relationships that may exist among these toxic traditional Chinese Medicines.After analysis of the collated data, we discover and conclude that most common chemical toxic constituents present in traditional Chinese Medicines are the natural alkaloids; most common"Si Qi"property is "warming"; most common "Wu Wei"property is "bitterness"; most common "Gui Jing" property is’liver meridian seeking’ and most common efficacy is "removing heat and toxins". |
