Objective:To explore the effect of different acupuncture acupoints on brain function of patients with over-anxiety state, to reveal the relationship between over-anxiety state and the brain dysfunction so as to discuss the optimal acupoints related to over-anxiety state, the immediate and persistent effects. Methods:The Experiment was divided into two parts. Volunteers were selected through over-anxiety state criteria and TCM over-anxiety state rating scale. First, comparative acupoint study on over-anxiety state. The subjects of the study were 40 postgraduate students selected from Shandong university of Traditional Chinese medicine who were all in over-anxiety state. They were divided into four groups: Daling acupoint group, Shenmen acupoint group, Neiguan acupoint group and Non-acupoint group,10 cases in each group with matched age and sex. Four groups of subjects accepted blood oxygen level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging task state scanning. Using the local consistency analysis method, Local and general brain activity were analyzed comparatively in subjects’ resting state 3 min before acupuncture, during acupuncture and 3 min after acupuncture. The brain areas with local consistent changes were studied comparatively to observe brain areas activation and select the optimal acupoint. Second, the variance analysis on activated brain regions of over-anxiety state and non-over-anxiety state by Daling acupoint. 10 postgraduate students were selected from Shandong university of Traditional Chinese medicine who were all in non-over-anxiety state with matched age and sex. All accepted blood oxygen level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging task state scanning. Using the local consistency analysis method, the local consistency changing brain areas were compared before and after research, brain regions were activated or inhibition, compared with the optimal 10 acupoints cases of over-anxiety state, analyzing the characteristics of brain regions of over-anxiety state, providing objective basis for clinical acupuncture treatment. Results:First comparative study results of different acupoints: Daling acupoint group: Local consistency acupuncture before, during and after a comprehensive analysis, First the left frontal brain regions were activated, which in turn activated the frontal brain regions, after acupuncture size and scope of frontal area were activated, and the limbic lobe anterior cingulate and parahippocampal gyrus region were activated(The unadjusted, rmm=5,P<0.05), The regional local consistency were higher brain function activities. Shenmen acupoint group: As with Daling acupuncture point group analysis, Conclusion acupuncture did not activate or inhibit the brain activity, after the needle with a local higher consistency to increase local consistency found in some brain regions, Such as on the right side of the thalamus, cingulate(BA23) and on the left side of the central back before(BA6) 3 brain areas; Some local consistency lower brain regions, such as the cerebellum posterior lobe(BA19), back in the right temporal brain regions(The unadjusted, rmm=5,P<0.05). Neiguan acupoint group: As with Daling acupuncture point group analysis, First activate the left and right brain cerebellum anterior lobe(BA37)and parahippocampal gyrus(BA37)3 brain areas, acupuncture end found higher part of the brain regions local consistency, such as back in the right temporal(BA21), on the right side of the thalamus and the central before returning the(BA22), in the left temporal(BA21), right superior temporal gyrus(BA22), on the right side of the thalamus, the right side of the back after the central(BA3), back in the frontal and back nine after the central brain regions; Local consistency lower part of the brain regions, such as the parietal lobe, the frontal lobe and precuneus(BA19), temporal lobe, parahippocampal gyrus, anterior cingulate(BA25), cingulate gyrus, the(BA48) and the frontal precentral gyrus( BA11), a total of nine brain regions( The unadjusted, rmm=5,P <0.05).Non-acupoints point group:With big ling acupuncture point group analysis, acupuncture began to higher local consistency is found that some brain regions, such as back in the cerebellum posterior lobe, left frontal(BA46), local consistency lower part of the brain regions, such as the(BA48), the left precentral gyrus insula(BA48), central right cingulate(BA24), on the right side of central cingulate; After acupuncture, found that local higher consistent increase in the number of brain regions, such as the left thalamus, on the left side of the putamen, on the right side of the putamen(BA48) and superior temporal gyrus(BA21), a total of four regions, local consistency reduce brain regions, such as only the left side of the pillow back(BA19) in a brain area(The unadjusted, rmm=5,P<0.05). Second, with the over-anxiety state big ling acupoint group comparison results: Analysis and over-anxiety state group of needles, needle began to find local consistency lower brain activity, such as the left side of the precuneus; After the acupuncture, found that local higher consistency of brain regions, such as the left superior temporal gyrus(BA22) and on the left side of the top next time(BA3), left superior temporal gyrus(BA22), on the right side of the(BA6), the left precentral gyrus(BA6) and on the left side of the central back after the central back before(BA5) area, a total of six local consistency reduce areas of the brain, finally disappear, such as the right frontal gyrus(BA10) and in the right frontal back(BA6)(The unadjusted, rmm=5,P<0.05).Conclusions:1. The relevant brain region to the over-anxiety state is mainly in the frontal lobes, followed by the edge of the leaves of the anterior cingulate and parahippocampal gyrus area.2. Acupuncture exerts some impacts on over-anxiety state. Through the comparative study, we find that daling acupoint plays a significant effect on over-anxiety state. The immediate effect and the subsequent effect to acupuncture are remarkable. The frontal lobe is activated first and then the range and volume of the activated frontal lobe become bigger. The parahippocampal gyrus at the edge of the leaf and the anterior cingulate area are also significantly activated;3. If the patient with over-anxiety is at rest, the acupuncture can adjust the abnormally inhibited brain areas.
