ObjectiveThe subject observes how Acupuncture muscle starting and ending point s therapy plays the clinical effects to De Quervain’s Disease. According to compared with Acupuncture ashi point therapy, differences between them provide clinical evidence for Acupuncture muscle starting and ending poi nts therapy of De Quervain’s Disease.MethodsWe collect 60 cases of patients with De Quervain’s Disease from Chine se medicine clinics of chong sheng in Taipei City. The patients were rand omly divided into treatment group, which is 30 cases treated with Acupunc ture muscle starting and ending points therapy, and control group, which is 30 cases treated with Acupuncture ashi point therapy. Both groups week ly therapy is three times and a treatment is 2 weeks. After treatment, th e changes of clinical symptoms and the physical signs of two groups were observed, and the efficacy of them were assessed. The long-term efficacy of them were assessed after 3 months. To establish a database on the abov e data, we use SPSS22.0 for statistical analysis.ResultsBy statistical analysis, before treatment, no significant difference (P>0.05) is observed between the muscle starting and ending points group (treatment group) and the ashi point group (control group) in the basic p arameter of gender, age, duration of disease, episodes of days, clinical symptoms score and physical signs score. Hence it can be concluded that t he two groups are comparable. After a treatment, the markedly effective r ate and total effective rate of the muscle starting and ending points gro up was 50.00% and86.66% respectively; markedly effective rate and total e ffective rate of the ashi point group was 16.77% and 73.33% respectively. After testing, the treatments in both groups are statistically significa nt (P<0.05). It tells us that the treatment in muscle starting and endin g points group is better than in ashi point group; the comparison of the result in the same group between pre-cure and post-cure is statistically significant (P<0.05). It suggests that the main symptoms and signs are i mproving; the comparison in both group of the result in post-cure is stat istically significant (P<0.05). It suggests that the muscle starting and ending points group has a lower evaluation than the ashi point group. After stopping the treatment for 3 months, we had a evaluation for th e efficient:the muscle starting and ending points group markedly effecti ve rate was 46.66% out of 90.00% of the total effective rate; markedly ef fective rate of 10.34% in the ashi point group, and the total effective r ate was 48.28%. Thoughout the statistical analysis, two treatment were st atistically significant (P<0.05). We can see that the efficiency of muscl e starting and ending points group is obvioudly better than in ashi point group after 3 months. The comparison between pre-cure and psot-cure af ter 3 months is statistically significant (P<0.05). It tells us that the main symptoms and signs are improving. The comparison between post-cure a nd post-cure in 3 months is statistically significant (P<0.05). It tells us that the main symptoms and signs are recrudescing in the post-cure aft er 3 months. The comparison btween two groups in post-cure after 3 months is statistically significant (P<0.05). And we can see that the effiecien cy in muscle starting and ending points group is better.ConclusionAfter clinical research of the subject, both muscle starting and endi ng points therapy and ashi point therapy have clear effects to cure De Q uervain’s Disease, but results of them also have some relapse rate. Howev er, muscle starting and ending points therapy is superior to ashi point t herapy on the short-term and long-term efficacy, and the lower relapse ra te. Muscle starting and ending points therapy of De Quervain’s Disease is worth popularizing.
