The society he lived was stiil having the res idual poison of Four Big Bachelors Trouble and having the sprout of potency fighting among superior groups. The aggravating political confusion affected Ko Bong’s life directly and indirectly. Four Big Bachelors Trouble prevented Hon am intellectuals from taking part in the central political circles, however, this strenthen the Honam intellectuals number and quality. As one of the member, Ko Bong inherited Honam literature trend. His whole life is the one that keeps the consistence between knowing and doing. His first half year before He wa s 32 years old, when he passed the imperial examination, is a learning period. He learnt from his father-Muljae Gong, Kim Jib, Jeong Jeul, Song Sun. All of these affected his works.Philosophy of Sex & View on Literature:Here, we can see his philosophy of sex and connection between philosophy of sex and his view on literature. F or philosophy of sex, it can be divided into 2 parts:Li & Ki theory and four origins and seven emotions theory. Ku Bong advocated Li & Ki theory and fou r origins and seven emotions theory, he also tells difference between the natu ral instincts and temperament, considering the former should be included by t he latter. He explained the human nature using the view of realism, considerin g that there is no difference between four origins and seven emotions theory. So he explained only using seven emotion. He thought every desire was huma n nature. But he had different view on relationship between them. For example, "W u Yi Zhao Ge" from Zhu Zi, a lot of people thought this was the poem whic h told theory, but Ko Bong considered it as a lyric. From here we can see he thought highly of emotional art and he exceeded other literats. He thought "Wu Yi Zhao Ge" showed "cheer" which was felt when Zhu Zi saw the sen ery of WuYi Mountain, and this "cheer"is just "emotion". According to his four origins and seven emotions theory, "emotion" which he pursued is "seven em otions", that is, kindness of "seven emotions". He thought this kind of poems was the one which magnified disposition. For him personal desire, if it was pr oper, then the desire was kind emotion. We couldn’t restraint it when we did t he creation. If only this kind of work could move people, let people learn. The way of showing theme:This can be divided into 3 parts. confucian pra ctice & enlightenment, expectation towards ideal world & interest to the rural 1 ife. lyric which let people recall. First of all, Ko Bong chanted ethics of co nfucian, adding nature, man’s world, society to his poems. Then he drew vividly the harmony of beautiful nature. In some of idyllics, he chanted leisur ely life, and sublimed the noble and not seeking fame and wealty to detached、aesthetic realm. Finally, for himself as well as intimate friend, family, his e xpression that was unwilling or loath to part from each other, always is movi ng. He recalled his whole life, narrating changeable life.Means and style:Art means contains allusions and a lot of Rhetorical tactics. In his creating process, he used a variety of Rhetorical tactics and particula r art skill to express poem clearly. From it we can see his appreciation of the beauty, thought and emotion. As a learner of Confucianism, he created clear and new, humble poem:As a true man and politician concerning about the fat e of the nation, he praised the beautiful country, performed his dream of go verning and saving the people, chanted experience and moral from history.Poems’position and significant:In this aspect we can see Ko Bong is tale nted literati that shows us great personality, and also he is a great person wh. o shows the variety in the poem style which changed from Song dynasty to T ang dynasty. He was always compared with Tue ge and youl gok, and this is because his poem’s various style and bright position in literature. As a learner of Confucianism, he paid much attention to the Taoism literature, which con centrates on morals, but also think highly of lyric. In a word, Ko Bong has an important role in the forming of Shi Lin litera ture, and also is a literati playing important role in 16th Korea literature histor y.
