The dissertation will investigate the growing and decline of African American Blues Music during the early atage, and the time category is from 1890 to 1929.The dissertation is composed of the introduction,3 chapters, appendix and bibliography.The preface made clear the status quo of the topic study, the major works and papers of the study, the goal of the dissertation, and the methods of the study.Chapter one explores the origin of Afro-Americans blues music, including Africa, America, Europe, Lading-America, American politics, American economy and culture.Chapter two reviews the rising of Afro-Americans blues music in the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century, and its decline in the 1920s, including the connection of emancipation of black slaves and blues music, the nature of black music before emancipation, the situation of black after emancipation, the rise, spread and decline of black music from 1890s to 1920s-and its music nature.Chapter three reviews and analysis the issue of rise and decline of Afro-Americans blues music from the perspectives of political history, musical history and cultural history.
