This paper taked Tao Yuan-ming and Xie Ling-yun as the research object. It based on the comparison of Tao and Xie for their human way and literary creation, fully reveal the similarities and differences between them.The focus was on in-depth analyzing their human way basis and value orientation and two typical types of a social stratum in ancient China they represented, detailed discussed their literary creation.This paper was divided into three parts—exordium, body,conclusion.Exordium was a analyzing of academic research on Tao and Xie,reviewed the achievements and shortcomings of the comparative study on Tao and Xie had been made,pointed out the research object, methods,contents and value of this paper.The paper was divided into two parts, six chapters.The first part analyzed the similarities and differences of Tao and Xie from ideal angle and the value of life.The first chapter dealed with Tao and Xie’s attitude to the ancestors’ moral integrity achievements.Their refining the ancestors’ moral integrity achievements was identity of traditional values of the "Three Immortal Deeds",through the analysis of their works.At the same time,their value of life contained the lifecreed— "retire after winning merit".Because of lacked practice reality of life ideal condition,selecting between entering political stratum and hermit became a practical problem to stand on their own feet in the world.Tao Yuan-ming resolutely chose hermitage, become the people outside the system.Although Xie Ling-yun had a hermitage practice, but because of the perplexing relations and personnel psychology he always flashed the entering political stratum, struggling in entering political stratum and hermit,his spirit was near collapse.Their roads of life were different, but the anger life,frustrated and the end of the same.One protected body, another was killed,their life represented two typical direction of China ancient scholars in the real life.The second chapter was the comparison of Tao and Xie’s personality.Analyzing of their personality paradigm from Tao and Xie’s attitude of treating the ethical relationship.A person’s sense of responsibility,sense of morality was mainly reflected in his ethical obligation.At the same time, treating the ethical attitude reflected people’s yearning for happiness and freedom, also could reflect a person’s personality traits.Being the lower gentry identity,Tao Yuan-ming was broad-minded toward others, warm and kind, and not to lose the ranger of the gas,showing obvious temperature pure personality.As a senior scholar,Xie Ling-yun treated others with a high-profile, because of frustrations into the work, near to split personality in in the swing and the body and theheart of the fierce fighting,that affected his chivalrous as a realistic choice.The third chapter examined Tao and Xie’s culture taking optional.The relationship between Tao Yuan-ming, Xie Ling-yun and Confucianism culture,Taoist Culture,not only accepted and against such a simple.Mainly from them classic quotation,acceptance and application about Confucianism to compare their differences and similarities,pointed out Tao Yuan-ming to Confucianism was his starting from the people’s point of view, focusing on the people’s responsibility in the world, and its integration into the real self life, best practice.Xie Ling-yun accepted Confucianism and Taoism culture from the spirit, but the lack of practice action.Confucianism and Taoism were more like a spiritual solace to resist the suffering in life.At the same time,re-examine the relationship between the two and Buddhism, religious Daoism,paying attention to their spiritual recognition of Buddhism and religious Daoism.The second part was a comparison of Tao and Xie’s literary,divided into three chapters.The fourth chapter elaborated the similarities and differences between the Creation Orientation of Tao and Xie.Tao Yuan-ming treated poetry creation as personal recreation or entertainment.Xie Ling-yun treated poetry creation as a way of showing self performance high.In the creative practice,they both chose staying away from politics asperformance object.Tao Yuan-ming appreciated smart natural things, also agreed the rough size, barren mountain was a natural part of existence.Xie Ling-yun favoured quiet open, majestic,magnificent natural landscape, such as high mountains,wide lake,big stream,giving people a strong visual impact of things.In the choice of travel,they all showed the hard road.Tao Yuan-ming focused on the performance of far from officialdom, yearning for farm life thought,was deep feelings of the official career and the road of life. Xie Ling-yun focused on the wandering desire,taking carefully depicts the scenery as the main body.In tracing the life study,Tao Yuan-ming fitted in the ancient sages in early years.Xie Ling-yun was in the good convention of family culture, he was a scholar poet.In drinking life option,Tao Yuan-ming not only inherited the wine etiquette, and into the self life, emotional experience and brewed wine mind belong to himself.Xie Ling-yun’s emotional thought was more outside, but his drinking attitude was very cautious.Tao Yuan-ming was often drunk, understanding of the external world was unusually sober.Xie Ling-yun rarely got drunk,but the sense of reality was dim and paradoxical.The fifth chapter discussed the art of Tao and Xie about method and rules. Analyzing the similarities and differences of Tao and Xie inheriting on the former literary achievements.Discussing the principle of them absorbing the previous generation of outstanding literary achievements,In "the book of songs", "Li Sao", Fu, Ancient Poems as the breakthrough point.Tao Yuan-ming inherited the thought and emotional of "book of songs" of introverted and open.In addition, the "book of songs" had about depicting daily life of farmers.because these poems often appeared in the description of emotion, and therefore never received enough attention.Tao Yuan-ming was fully explored,with the scene change highlighting the self life interest.Xie Ling-yun laid stress on the use of Guo Feng’s words, sentences,but objectively went to the "Elegance" road.Tao Yuan-ming’s poems were mostly short,stylistic structure was small and exquisite.From the analysis of writing skills,it could be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty lyrical Fu.Xie Ling-yun learning Western Han Fu,and inherited the Eastern Han Dynasty Lyric Fu in a certain extent.Tao Yuan-ming paid attention to the songs of Chu.Because of the subjective sympathy for Qu Yuan which resulted in Xie Ling-yun’s tendency of the songs of Chu in the poetic art inheritance.The sixth chapter was the summary to acception of the differences and similarities about Tao and Xie future generations.Northern and Southern Dynasties was the Tao and Xie’s received initiation period.This period of Tao Yuan-ming’s acceptance was to mainly about character,on the Xie in poetry for heavy.The Tang Dynasty was the period of development on Tao and xie’s acception,the performance was indeepening of the interpretation.People of Tang Dynasty began to correct the appellation of Tao Yuan-ming.The acceptance of Xie Ling-yun also gradually stripped of political factors.To the Song Dynasty, influenced by the cultural trend at that time,the acceptance of presented new aspect,acception of Tao was high on the nodes, Xie’s character was contemptible.The acceptance of Tao and Xie received a number of schools and there was recriminations factions both views,at the same time they had mutual penetration point in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
