Focused on German Composer Wolfgang Rihm’s Dis-Kontur --fur groβes Orchester (1974), Spur-- Orchesterskizze (1984-1985) and In-Schrift -- Orchesterkomposition (1995), the three works for orchestra represented and composed among his different decades of 1970s,1980s and 1990s, the author of this thesis tries to analyze the phenomenon and technique of Rihm’s composing methods through music structuring, pitch organizing, orchestration, rhythm and velocity aspects, to figure out Rihm’s evolution of his artistic concept from different ages, and characteristic thoughts which existed permanently throughout his compositions. |
