Happiness is the pursuit of the ages. Happiness is not only an importanttheoretical problem, but also is a major practical problem. In the history ofphilosophy, there has been concern and debate about happiness, but thetraditional concept of happiness is affected by substantialism thinkingmode, either to the holistic concept of happiness, or to individualistic horizon ofhappiness. Holistic horizon of happiness is the community materialized assupreme existence, and then to the pursuit of happiness as the goal of the communityof the whole concept of happiness, and it is often the personal happiness is relegatedto a secondary position belongs to the whole happiness. The ancient Greek citystates on the pursuit of happiness, Medieval on the pursuit of Church happiness(heavenly happiness) and the ancient Chinese on the pursuit of nation happiness are ofthe holistic horizon of happiness. Hegel stressed that the priority of the state ofthe civil society and ethics on the morality, which made his happiness also slid intothe holistic horizon of happiness. In contrast with the holistic concept ofhappiness, the individualism horizon of happiness put personal and self entity as thesupreme existence, and put the pursuit of individual happiness as the highest goal. Sothat community and others are reduced to achieve personalwell-being tool. The liberal horizon of happiness based on individual subjectivity asthe theory foundation in Modern times belonged to the individualistic horizon ofhappiness.The common defect of Individualism and holism concept of happiness is thatthey have forgotten the question of happiness "co-existence" perspective, and ignoredthe necessary premise of the reasonable co-existence relationship. The root causeof the defect is metaphysics to the transcendental existence as the basis set order forthe real life substantial thinking mode. This kind of substantial thinking mode basedon the relationship of life in the world, and people who interpreted as the relationshipof dominant and by dominated, determine and by determined, the aim and the tool,and in short is the relationship between the subject and object, and between man andman itself should be interaction, equality and co-construction is completelyobscured. It is for the reason, although the holistic and individualism horizon ofhappiness put the people’s happiness as a goal, they eventually become the source ofnot happiness of the people. Not only that, non time metaphysics leads tothe holistic concept of happiness and individualism horizon ofhappiness are the existing social relations as the best and happiest of socialrelationship, and it also closed happiness unfolding in the history of the route, blocking the process of change from not happiness to the happinessof people.Unlike the individualistic horizon of happiness and holistic horizon ofhappiness, the happiness horizon of Marx is not built on a foundation of the mode ofsolid thinking, but built on a foundation of the mode of relationalthinking. Marx started from the practice as a unique existence mode and thought thatman was a total of existence, and the co-existence of man showed the relationship ofpeople common activities and interaction in practice. Marx thought the relationshipwas not reasonable if people in practice performed a relationship of hostile andmutual tool by each other, and expressed as a relation to for other people’s interests atthe expense of the interests of some people, and the relationship wouldeventually lead to people not happy; and if the people in the relationshipbetween practice showed the relation of equality, mutual assistance andco-construction, then the relationship was a reasonable co-existence relationship, andpeople could be happiness in this relationship.It is visible that the happiness horizonof Marx opened the happy problem "co-existence" perspective. From the point ofhorizon of Marx’s "co-existence" perspective, we can put the happiness horizon ofMarx deduction for self-consistent answer to the three problems, and the threeproblems are "whose happiness","what is happiness" and "how to happy"."Whosehappiness" is the value of the main problems of happiness, Marx thought that "realityof the individual" was the value subject of happiness, and "reality of the individual"was not the isolated and abstract person, but the person with the others in arelationship of co-existence and life in the "real community". Put the individual inthe reality as the value subject of happiness, not only to avoid the holism to hide frompersonal happiness, but also to draw a line with the horizon ofindividualism happiness that put abstract individual as the main value."What ishappiness", namely the connotation problem of happiness, Marx’s answer is thepositive existence of the realistic individual in a real community. Theso-called "positive coexistence", is the co-existence as the connotation ofthe mutual symbiotic, and not the co-existence to as the premise of eachother digestion."How to happy", namely the problem of the realization path ofhappiness, and Marx’s answer was that by actually changed andhappiness rival coexistent relationship and established thereasonable co-existence relationship, so the achievement of happiness on theperformance of social relations in the replacement for the form tothe future open diachronic approach, which draw a line with substantialthinking mode of non closed time concept of happiness.Based on Marx’s "co-existence" from the angle of horizon of happiness of thevalue has been outstanding application and expression in the contemporaryphilosophy theory background. Thinking on the happiness problem of contemporaryphilosophy outstanding performance is a debate between liberalism and communalismon happiness. Liberalism think a happy society is that the individual right realizethe best as the rights of the individual is the fulcrum of happiness to, andcommunalism think a happy society is that restrict individual rights and behavior by integrity and communality as public good is the fulcrum of happiness.Two common defects are not to understand people’s happiness fromthe "co-existence" perspective, and therefore are one-sided, and the partiallyexpressed as the problem of the relationship between self happiness and the happinessof others, and how to establish equal social relations to promote human happinessproblem, and how to define government power boundary not lead to the overallhappiness of personal happiness shielding problems, these all not given areasonable and feasible answer. For these problems, it is precisely fromMarx’s "co-existence" perspective to find a reasonable solution.Marx’s "co-existence" concept of happiness is an important basis to clarifythe misunderstanding of the philosophy of Marx and establish for the legitimacyof Marx philosophy. Today many people criticize Marx and thought thatMarx’s philosophy is "economic determinism","historical determinism","materialism" and "unrealistic Utopia", which does not have legitimacy. But throughto Marx’s "co-existence" analysis of the concept of happiness, we can clearly find thatthese criticisms are misreading of Marx’s philosophy, the fundamental goal of Marx’sphilosophy is not economic and material, but in man himself and people’shappiness; Marx on the pursuit of human happiness although has ideal, not slide intothe fantasy Utopia, because happiness is achieved in the reform of social relations inhistory, and history is not the entity that decided society development, and it is theprocess of people on the pursuit of happiness, and the history is not that dominated byhuman, but human who on the pursuit of happiness in social relations is preciselythe history the subject.
