The Study On The Relationship Between The Poem Of Korean Scholar Officials And Chinese Culture

The impact of Chinese culture on South Korea’s classical literature is mainly focused on the Han literature. Throughout the development of Korean literature, Chinese culture also has a far-reaching impact on its national language of literature. Poem, created in late Koryo and early Joseon Dynasty, which is closely related to Chinese culture in the respect of thought background and technique of expression, and Si cho are the two main types of South Korea literature.In recent years scholars at home and abroad mainly have concentrated in the source of the poem, content, form, style, etc. The research on the poem’s relevance to the Chinese culture (literature) has achieved certain results but failed to systematic interpretation. In view of this, this paper looks for the Chinese cultural factors in the poem to study the relationship between the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and Chinese culture with the methods of comparative literature, literature research and reception poetics. This dissertation includes 6 chapters as following.The first chapter is the introduction. First, it is a brief introduction of the characteristics of cultural transmission and the impact of Chinese culture on the poem of Korean Scholar Officials; Secondly, the author analyzes the research achievements and deficiency of the predecessors. Finally, the author puts forward the research methods and describes the research target briefly.The second chapter is about the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and literary quotation of Chinese name. The author analyzes the literary quotation of politicians in the poem, such as Yao and Shun, the first Emperor of Qin, Duke of Zhou, Lu Wang, Hou Ji and Zhuge Liang, the ideologists and scholars, such as Confucius, Zhu Xi, Qu Yuan, Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Su Shi and the hermits, such as Xu You, Bo Yi, Shu Ch’I, Tao Yuanming in order to conclude the characteristic of the literary quotation of Chinese name.The third chapter is about the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and Chinese Classics. The author analyzes the relationship between the poem and the The Analects, Mencius and Records of the Historian, including biographic sketches of emperors, notable rulers, nobility and bureaucrats mostly from the Spring and Autumn Period and Period of the Warring States, and biographies of important figures including Lao Zi, Mozi, Sun Tzu, and Jing Ke, in order to summarize the impact of the Chinese Classics on poem.The fourth chapter focuses on the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and Chinese ancient poetry. The author analyzes the relationship between the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and The Songs ofChu, based on Qu Yuan’s literary works, poems of Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Du Fu, Su Shi, and Tang-Song Poetry in order to analyzes the impact of the Chinese ancient poetry on poem.The fifth chapter goes to the poem of Korean Scholar Officials and Chinese traditional thoughts. First, the relationship between the poem and Confucianism is analyzed, and the Confucianism reflected from the poem and the ScholarOfficials’values in loyal to the Lord, filial love, eagerness and moral lessons are concluded. Secondly, the author analyzes the relationship between the poem and Daoist ideas in Laozhuang thought, thought of hermit and the Taoist words. Finally, the Chinese traditional thoughts reflected from the poem are concluded, that is "harmony but not uniformity" and "Self-regardness".The last chapter is conclusion. The author concludes the impact of the Chinese culture on the poem of Korean Scholar Officials to explain the characteristic of the poem, further reflects the impact on South Korea literature, and also points out some deficiencies of this paper and the problems to be solved in the future.
