Exploring The Ways In Explaining Chinese Buddhist Sutra

So-called Chinese Buddhist sutra’s exegesis in this thesis is different fromthe past when the Buddhist theory or only vocabulary was emphasized. Inthis thesis Chinese Buddhist sutra’s exegesis means explaining the overallparts of the Chinese Buddhist sutra’s language, including vocabulary,syntax, sentence meaning and paragraph meaning. After overallexplanation about Jiumo Luoshi’s Perfection of Wisdom, we find firstly,when we explain Chinese Buddhist sutra, we should cover the mistakesand shortcomings in both word and sentence translation, even in somewhole passage translation; secondly, the pragmatics concepts such asdeixis and context is useful in finding problems and solving problems;thirdly, Sanskrit- English-Chinese proofreading can provide a reasonableand scientific basis for our explanation.
