| Interest is a fundamental issue involved with social life of our humankind, whichconstitutes a powerful driving force in promoting social development. Historically, itis precisely that people pursue the interest in order to meet their own survival, enjoygreater development and achieve a better life in the future. Experience tells them theycan enjoy interest to the greater extent only by continuously improving means ofproduction, improving production skills. For the realization of interest, people caneither harmoniously come together, or counterpoise with each other. Therefore, it isinevitable to see conflicts of interest and contradictions of interest in the process ofpursuing the interest. However, these conflicts of interest and contradictions ofinterest form the powerful driving force of social development so that thedevelopment of human society shows the unity of the regularity and purposiveness.Marx and Engels, through the profound dialysis on interest issues in the real life,finally created historical materialism, and achieved great reform of the human thoughthistory.The Chinese Communists always attach great importance to the interest of thecommon people. It can be said the CPC develops on the basis of safeguarding interestof the masses. The superiority of socialist system is also reflected that its variousmechanisms not only open the way for the full realization of people’s interest, but alsoprovide equality means for the widespread realization of people’s interest. However,in the previous long period, misconceptions on interest issues prevailed in China,fragmented close relationship between interest and the common people, trappedpeople’s minds in one-sided understanding of collectivism, and confined thedevelopment of social productive forces. Since the reform and opening up,accompanied with the establishment and improvement of socialist market economicsystem, people’s profit-seeking motive and behavior have bee generally recognized bysociety. Tremendous changes and adjustments of this pattern of interest are bound toshow a new pattern for economic interest diversification, which is characterized byrecognition for difference of interest and conflict of interest. In the context of newinterest pattern for economic interest diversification, reforms march towards thedeep-seated interest issues. Overall coordination for the interest of all partiesconcerned is becoming ever-increasingly difficult. Conflict of interest among thepeople has been highlighted. Therefore, scientific analysis on characteristics of economic interest diversification and establishment of long-acting mechanism forpromoting coordinated development of interest become major theoretical and practicalissues currently encountered by us. Therefore, based on the social reality backgroundof economic interest diversification, combined with the interest theory of Marxism,this paper refers to many historical materials and literatures, sets foot on greatspiritual power contained in ideology and culture, makes comprehensive analysis andsystematic research on which way ideology and culture interact with economicinterest in order to promote coordinated development of interest by means of theintrinsic link between the ideology and culture and economic interest, and applies inspecific practice to respond to challenges from economic interest diversification.In terms of overall framework, this paper falls into five chapters as follows.Chapter1lays the theoretical foundation for the entire paper by differentiating,analyzing and defining relative concepts. This chapter starts from the perspective ofevolution of ideology history, rolls out ancient and modern thinkers’ interpretations oninterest and economic interest, analyzes essential connotation, and vivificates theconcepts with respect to economic interest. On this basis, systematic research is madefor connotation, manifestation, function and other aspects of economic interestdiversification and ideology and culture construction, which clarifies the vagueunderstanding of basic concepts, and point out mutual relations between economicinterest diversification and ideology and culture construction.Chapter2further analyzes historical occurrence and expansion process ofeconomic interest diversification, and clarifies development context of economicinterest diversification. From the perspective of historical materialism, this chapterpoints out that economic interest diversification stems from diversification of humanneeds. As humans consciously develop by virtue of linking with the society as a whole,only mutual relations between people can meet the diverse needs from people.Therefore, the social division of labor is taken to meet the diverse needs from people,which becomes an eternal objective process. With the development of the socialdivision of labor, the status of people is immobilized in the system of social divisionof labor, which strengthens the independent status of private laborers. Various newinterest subjects spring up like mushrooms. Economic interest diversification alsoshows significant development trend. Human society starts to usher in the era ofeconomic interest diversification. Based on analysis on historical evolution process of economic interest diversification, this chapter focuses on evolution process ofeconomic interest diversification in China and the reasons therefore, and explains thateconomic interest diversification not only does not contradict the nature of socialism,but also is an inevitable choice for promoting China’s economic and socialdevelopment, which represents trend and direction of social development.Chapter3, based on the correct understanding of the development trend ofeconomic interest diversification, makes in-depth analysis on dialectical relationshipbetween economic interest and ideology and culture. This chapter sets foot onMarxism principle of dialectical relationship between productive forces andproduction relations and dialectical relationship between economic base andsuperstructure, elaborates dialectical relationship between economic interest andideology and culture. On one hand, economic interest plays decisive role in ideologyand culture, which is cradle of ideology and culture and intrinsic motivation for thedevelopment of ideology and culture. In the final analysis, formation and evolution ofideology and culture is determined by the replacement and evolution of productionrelations and underlying social and economic relations. On the other hand, ideologyand culture have dynamic counterproductive effects on economic interest. Advancedideology and culture can contribute to the consolidation and development of economicinterest, whereas backward ideology and culture undermine development of economicinterest. Therefore, at the finale of this chapter, we demonstrate how to properlyhandle dialectical relationship between economic interest and ideology and culture.Harmony and wonderful perfection can be only achieved by complement andmutually reinforcement of both aspects.Chapter4, based on further demonstration for the reason why economic interestdiversification is inevitable trend of social development and can promote socialprogress, makes dialectical analysis on impacts and challenges of economic interestdiversification on ideology and culture construction. Economic interest diversificationis the social phenomenon under market economy conditions, which is relative tosingleness and equalization of economic interest pattern during planned economyperiod. In the process of transforming from planned economy to market economy inChina, it is bound to see great changes in the previous “unified” ideology and culturefields, which has dialectic influence for ideology and culture construction. On onehand, this has positive effects on material security and deepening power of ideology and culture construction. On the other hand, this has negative effects on realizationway, content identification, value orientation and other aspects, which raises manyserious challenges for traditional ideology and culture with emphasis on handlingsingle interest relation. In case of no correct adjustment, this would inevitably becomeserious obstacle to the cultivation of individual noble moral character and harmoniousdevelopment of the society.Chapter5, based on in-depth analysis on the new requirements of economicinterest diversification on ideology and culture, actively absorbs nutrients fromideology and culture sources with respect to promoting interest harmony throughoutthe ages in all over the world, and tries to construct ideology and culture promotingcoordinated development of interest. China’s social transformation is basically drivenby market economy. The resulting economic interest diversification not only promotesthe rapid development of productive forces and awakens people’s subjectconsciousness, but also easily dilutes people’s improvement on self-personality andthe pursuit of life value. Under the premise of coordination between interestphilosophy and social reality of economic interest diversification, people’sprofit-seeking actions are consistent with the requirements of social norms, and thebuilding of socialist modern civilization can be constructed. From the perspective ofenhancing inclusiveness and orientation power of Marxism guidance ideology,establishing the correct values and pushing forward ideology and culture towards“value identification” and other aspects, this chapter puts forward path selection forideology and culture construction promoting the coordinated development of interest,with a view to forming value identification in harmony with interest, and ultimatelyachieving coordinated development of own interest, interest of others and interest ofthe society as a whole.In short, this is a large complex project to achieve coordinated development ofinterest. We must comprehensively and dialectically think about this issue. We shouldnot only impel economic development, but also more consciously pay attention tosocial value of humanistic spirit and focus on ideology and culture construction.Coordinated development of interest can be ultimately achieved by integrating a widerange of resources and exerting unified efforts!... |
