A Study On Some Issues About The Training Of Youth Marxist

The process for the Chinese youth to accept, propagate and apply Marxism was accompanied by the sinicization process of Marxism. It is necessary to train youth Marxist for CPC because of the need of theoretical researching, reserve force preparing and governing capability building. The two topics of this dissertation are the historical experiences for the CPC to train youth Marxism and the theoretical and practical methods to promote this cultivation in modern days.In order to discuss the first problem, this dissertation concludes the practices and experiences for CPC to train youth Marxism in different historical periods. During the years of revolutionary wars, the purpose to educate youth Marxism, which came from the first mission of CPC, was to win the war. In order to achieve the goal, the main method of cultivating was offering short courses the core youth in the party, army and government about basic theory of Marxism, revolution status, party’s programs, military and political leadership.Since the founding of CRP, especially when socialist camp fell in a puzzleheaded status caused by the "Secret Report" released on CPSU’ s twenty’s congress in1956, the CPC began to think about how to promote Marxism education in the Youth and how to build the reserve force. The main topics in cultivation of youth Marxism in that period were "increasing the political awareness of socialism","taking part in the industrial and agricultural production","learning Mao’s writings","Educating the contributor and successor of the revolutionary cause of the proletariat", etc.During the early stage of reform and opening-up, the CPC concluded the "Left" errors we’ve made in "cultural revolution", and found the correct line for the training of youth Marxists. We put more attention to the need of the practice of Socialism Contributing and the requirements to our youth for this modern world. We stressed to educate the socialists to have lofty ideals and moral integrity, to become better educated and to cultivate a strong sense of discipline, in order to make them our contributors and successors. Faced to the complicated trend of federal and international situation in1990’s, the CPC stressed that the main purposes for the training of Youth Marxist are the education of Marxism as their guiding ideology, on the status of accepting market economy, and the education of their faith and leadership. Since new century, the CPC considered "who we should educate and how to educate them" as the basic questions and concluded several concepts such as "building the core value system of socialism" and "educate new generations with four features" as parts of the systematic project for the education of youth Marxist.In order to find the answer to the second question, this dissertation introduces four researches. The first research is questionnaire survey about the young students’ attitude to the Marxism and the relevant education in their colleges. The conclusion of this questionnaire survey is generally optimistic to the educators, except they put more attention on promotion of those problems; not well-balanced for the students’ knowledge structure divide of political beliefs, the low input-output ratio of the efficiency of Marxism education in colleges, and the discordant education methods above the learning needs and interests of students.The second research is analyzing three challenges on the training of young Marxists. First, there are new features and trends on the pervasion of western ideology, that young people are the main objects of this pervasion. Second, the thinking and behavior of youth have been influenced a lot by the changing ways of supervising public voice and culture dissemination on Internet. Third, the diversified ethos and religious beliefs which become popular in university campus influence the Marxism Education in a negative way.The third research is to sort out and summarize the system of youth Marxist training. This research was based on the human general development theory, the contributing needs of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the growing pattern of youth. The system composed by four levels; theoretical knowledge, Ideal and belief, moral trait and overall qualities and abilities.The fourth research is to introduce the basic rules, working mechanism and specific methods, based on the actual work of youth Marxist training in the present universities. The basic rules include three units; study and practice, group training and leaders training, object management and process management. The four kinds of working mechanism are selection, training, incentive and security. The specific methods include; new teaching techniques for the ideological and political education, providing leadership training programs, building practical teaching system, supporting students’ Red clubs, demonstration effect of the members of the Party.In summary, the main experiences for the CPC to train youth Marxist include four aspects. The first one is persisting in leading role of Marxism while carry out with the sinicizing of it. The second is persisting in inheriting and developing the Party’s undertakings, while educate the reserve force and successors. The third is persisting in relating theory with practice, by understanding the specific missions in the relevant historic periods. The last is persisting in creative methods by respecting the growing rules of the young people.
