Secondly, the free-for-itself which wasin the period from Roman Empire through Middle-Age to modernEnlightenment Movement. The lastly, free-in&for-itself (free self-consciousness) stage, which was in contemporary capitalism society.Liberty is a historical concept, achievement of historical improvement ofcivilization, and a hard tortuous process of human’s spirit moving forwardand forming self-worth-identity as well. The huge big changes of humancultural forms are the actual bases of generation and modification ofdifferential liberty stages. Every time of thought transfer of liberal theorywhich means the end of previous stage and the beginning of the nextstage.In ancient Greek, liberty was as a state of original without alienation,therefore, it was integration of both of social history and idea history onliberty. Liberty as idea history took its first step when social history onliberty declined gradually in ancient Greek. That liberty became object ofhuman’s reflection from human’s existence way in Hellenistic Era,appeared in the philosophy of both Epicurus and Stoic, it was the symbolof first awareness of self-consciousness and sense of individualism beforemodern liberty stage being build. For this reason, liberty of social historyand liberty of idea history started to be divided into two chains of twining respectively in human real life and idea. Liberty was brought into life inthe later period of the Middle Age after it had dead for one thousand years.Liberal prologue at that time came from historic history, arose at privilegeauthorized liberty. The succeeding of Liberty of idea history was severalhundred years later, liberty of idea history emerged until17century inpolitical theory of philosophers at free-willingness, natural rights, andhypothesis of natural-state. Liberty， being regarded as a philosophicproblem, was firstly came out in the theory of Hobbes, Locke andRousseau in Enlightenment time. That Kant andHegel evolved liberty in consciousness of human being to its toppestmade human to be sure that liberty is the highest categorical value andpersonal dignity itself, but Hegel’s Absolute Spirit was an idea obstacle ofbreaking the organic unity of liberty by seperating the idea history onliberty from social history on liberty.
