| The United Front is one of the important Magic weapons for Communist Party of China (CPC) during the process of revolution and construction. It is also an essential tool for governance, realization of a united China, and rejuvenation of Chinese nation. Since the Third Plenary Session of the11th Central Committee of CPC, Chinese society has had some dramatic changes. The most notable is the change of social Stratus’ structure which is resulted from changes of economic structure. As an indispensable part of the socialism theory with Chinese characteristics, theory and practice of the United Front has made a considerate contribution to promoting reform and opening-up, consolidating basis of Party’s governance, adjusting relations of different social Stratus, keeping social stability, and building up a harmonious society. Therefore, to place the study of innovation of the United Front theory and practice since reform and opening-up into social context of Stratus’change is exactly based on internal logical interaction between the two. By studying interconnection and logic between changes of social Stratus’structure and the United Front, this article will make an objective assessment on the development of theory and practice of the United Front in Chinese history, study ideological origin and social background of its theoretical innovation, and master the law of its development. As a result, this article will help improve understanding of innovation of the United Front Theory since reform and opening-up, and add new knowledge into its theory system. This article consists of seven parts, an introduction and seven chapters.IntroductionThis part mainly focuses on the significance of the study, analysis of main ideas, current domestic and international research, the content of research, methodology employed, innovation of the study, and the expected research result. Through some related study, it is found that there are some insufficiencies in innovation of theory and practice of the United Front since reform and opening-up, as follows:insufficiency from the perspective of the development of the United Front theory, deficiency of systematic and comprehensive research, rareness of multidisciplinary research. This study starts from problem solving, in the content of multidiscipline, sticks to the change of social Stratus structure and the development of the United Front theory, systematically discusses the interconnection between the two, their developing laws, and their scientific nature, thus, further enriches the theory.Chapter One:Theoretical Origin of "Social Stratus" and "Party’s United Front". This chapter discusses the proposal and content of social Stratus theory in general, main views of Western social Stratustheory, main idea of Marxism social Stratus theory, and the formation and development of Party’s United Front. Theory of United Front is a discipline to study power allocation among different social Stratus and interest groups. The alliance nature of United Front makes different internal layers in different times according to social Stratus structure at that time. As a consequence, the concept and theoretical origin of "social Stratus" and "Party’s United Front" is the vital theoretical base for the study of innovation in United Front theory. Marxism Stratus theory is the basic theoretical direction for us to analyze status, development and change of social Stratus. As well, it is beneficial to absorb and introduce good ideas from Western Stratus theory. The author applies localized Marxism Stratus theory to analyze the formation of Chinese social Stratus since reform and opening-up. The author finds that the formation and development of Party’s United Front theory is built up on deep analysis and correct mastery of Chinese status in different historical times.Chapter Two:Change of Social Stratus in Modern and Contemporary China, and Development of Party’s United Front Theory and Practice. This chapter analyzes social status, innovation in Party’s United Front Theory, and the interconnection between the two, in the times of the1st cooperation period between CPC and Chinese Kuomintang (KMT), anti-Japanese war period, liberation war period, and the early stage of new China. The author makes explicit explanation on the interaction and interrelationship between social Stratus structure and innovation in Party’s United Front theory. It concludes that the change of social Stratus structure is the base for the United Front, that the objects of the United Front are adjusted according to the change of social Stratus relations, that the change of social Stratus structure enhances the development of the United Front.Chapter Three:Changes in Chinese Social Stratus since Reform and Opening-up, and the Formation of New Stratus. This chapter is based on the great practice of reform and opening-up, considering aspects of market economy, change of production relations, reform in income distribution policy and mode, and policy influence. This chapter deeply analyzes the changes of Chinese social Stratus structure and statues since reform and opening-up. On studying differentiation of working Stratus and farmer Stratus, this chapter particularly analyzes the origin, statues and political participation of new social Stratus, which indicates that it will exert a great influence on the internal structure of the United Front.Chapter Four: Change of Chinese Social Stratus since Reform and Opening-up challenging Party’s United Front. Since reform and opening-up, because of complexity of internal structure of working Stratus and quick differentiation of farmer Stratus, new social Stratus has expanded significantly. On the one hand, this brings new issues to Party’s United Front in respect to the object, scope, innovative mechanism, method, transition of thinking mode, and United Front socialization. On the other hand, this can help enhance theory and practice development of United Front. Change of social Stratus structure has made the start point of the United Front on the new and energetic social Stratus.Chapter Five:Main Innovation in Party’s United Front Theory and Practice since Reform and Opening-up. This chapter mainly summarizes the innovationofthe united front in emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, the most important thoughts of three represents, and the scientific outlook of development since the reform and opening up. It systematically summarizes the innovative accomplishments in the development of United Front theory and practice, which is resulted from changes of social Stratus structure and subsequent changes of layers of United Front.Chapter Six:Experience and Enlightenment. Practice of the United Front since reform and opening has made it clear that:Party’s lead on the United Front is the fundamental guarantee for the correct direction of the United Front, and that consolidation and expansion of "allies" is the important assurance to Party’s governance. Historical experience assures that it is essential to stick to "unity and association", to correct direction and to Party’s central work. It is encouraged to enhance and develop the United Front through democracy, to realize association through political alliance, to keep firmness of principle and flexibility of policy, and thus to maintain vitality of the United Front. Theory directs practice and practice develops theory. The innovation in Party’s United Front theory and practice since reform and opening-up, has effectively promoted the socialist construction with Chinese characteristic and a harmonious society. It is not only an indispensable part of CPC’s United Front theory, but also an expansion and enrichment of Marxism United Front theory system. The innovative accomplishment is not only strong guarantee for the implementation of Party’s central work, but also effective strength for maintaining a harmonious and stable society.Most importantly, it is a key Magic weapon to realize rejuvenation of Chinese nation. The innovation in theory and practice of United Front also makes good example and direction for its future development. |
