The thesis follows the guidance of Marxism, takes contemporary China’s development course as the background, focuses on overall layout of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, synthesizes the method which unifies the history and logic, macroscopic to carefully examine with microscopic analysis, the multi-disciplinary focusing methods, the literature methodology, the comparative analysis method, as well as the method that unifies the theory and practice. By economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social development as well as Party building and so on the five aspects, it comprehensively elaborates patriotism education of contemporary China.The first chapter of this thesis is contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the cause of economic construction, which aims to analyze new opportunities and new challenges new situation of China’s economic construction has brought to contemporary Chinese patriotism education. From international and domestic aspects, the article deeply elaborates new topics of contemporary Chinese patriotism education on the context of socialist market economy and economic globalization. On this basis, the article suggests that the task of contemporary Chinese patriotism education is to guide people to think deeply why we should adhere to the basic economic system but not engage in privatization or "pure" public ownership, and correctly understand that countries are still the most authoritative representative of the nation’s overall interests under the conditions of economic globalization; and cultivates the collective spirit and team cooperation consciousness, and enhances independent innovation capability and social responsibility of national enterprises, as well as fosters rational, open, calm, confident great power mentality.The second chapter of this thesis is contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the cause of political construction, which aims to analyze the new opportunities and new challenges new situation and new problems of our country’s political construction, have brought to contemporary Chinese patriotism education. Based on overall angle of China’s political democratization and legislation as well as multi-polarization of world politics, this article analyses new topics of contemporary Chinese patriotism education on the context of constructing socialist democratic politics. On this basis, the article suggests that the task of contemporary Chinese patriotism education is to guide people to think deeply why we should persist in the National People’s Congress system but not do "the separation of powers", and consciously makes a clear boundary between socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics and capitalist democracy of the West; and strengthens the education of national unity, and strengthens Marxist’s human rights view education for all citizens, as well as reunification of the motherland.The third chapter of this thesis is contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the cause of cultural construction, which aims to analyze new opportunities and new challenges the new situation of China’s cultural construction has brought to contemporary Chinese patriotism education. Fully grasping new features of the ideological emancipation, the great change of the concept and cultural development in modern times, the article revolves around the complex background of the increasing intensification of Chinese and Western cultural blend, the rapid development of information and communication technology represented by the Internet, as well as the comprehensive influence of multiple social thoughts, then discusses carefully new topics of patriotism education. On this basis, the article points out that the main task of contemporary Chinese patriotism education is to lead people to think why we should adhere to the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field in our country but not carry out pluralism of guiding ideology, and consciously draw boundaries between socialist ideology and culture and feudalism, capitalist decadent ideology and culture; and promotes the Chinese culture and builds spiritual home for the Chinese Nation; and enhances the development and management of Internet culture and creates a good network environment; as well as makes efforts to enhance national cultural soft power, and strengthens international competitiveness and influence of Chinese culture. Chapter IV of this thesis is contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the cause of social construction, which aims to analyze new opportunities and new challenges the new situation of social construction has brought to contemporary Chinese patriotism education. Correctly grasping the new situation of the profound changes in social structure and the profound adjustment of the pattern of interests, the article deeply elaborates new topics of contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the process of building a socialist harmonious society. On this basis, the article points out that the main task of contemporary Chinese patriotism education is to lead people to correctly understand and handle the dialectical relationship of fairness and efficiency; and promotes the establishment and improvement the mechanism of interests expression and interests balance, and actively conducts education of patriotism in the new social classes.Chapter V of this thesis is contemporary Chinese patriotism education in the cause of Party building, which aims at analyzing new opportunities and new challenges Party’s building, has brought to contemporary Chinese patriotism education. Focusing on the Party strengthening the building of vanguard nature and the governance capability, as well as the new arrangements of promoting the building of Marxist learning-oriented political parties, the article profoundly elaborates new topics contemporary Chinese patriotism education is facing. The article points out that the major task of contemporary Chinese patriotism education is to guide people to better understand why we should adhere to the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC but not engage in multi-party system of the West, and guide people to consciously integrate patriotism with loving the Party and socialist; and deeply launches the construction of anti-corruption and upholding integrity, effectively improves the Party’s style of work; and strengthens the education of ideals and beliefs of Party members and leading cadres; as well as strengthens the education of the Party’s basic theory, line, program and experience.In contemporary China, the distinct theme of patriotism education is to build socialism with Chinese characteristics, promote the great revival of Chinese Nation. Since the reform and opening up, our country’s patriotism education has always centered on the vivid practice of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and continued to develop. On such context that the era has profoundly changed and significant changes in our economy and society have taken place, contemporary Chinese patriotism education ushered in unprecedented opportunities for development, as well as suffered serious challenges from all levels. Patriotism education is a complex systematic project. New topics contemporary Chinese patriotism education is facing are not only from a particular area and level of economic and social development, but also the inevitable result of various factors from economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social development and party building in the new era and so on. Therefore, this thesis begins with the overall layout of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, based on the whole historical process of 30 years of reform and opening up, and studies patriotism education of contemporary China, which aims to further promote scientific and innovative development of patriotism education in the new historical starting point by the dimensions of historical and practical combination.
