A Study On The Social Adaptation Of Dongxiang Ecological Migration In Gansu

At present, with the rapid development of the global economy, the environmental problems, which is plaguing human survival and development, has become a global issues. It has attracted the wide attention of people from all walks of life, and it has become the focus of the attention of researchers of various disciplines. As the most populous country in the world, Chinese rapid economic development has attracted worldwide attention since the reform and opening up. However, this kind of fast development was set up at the expense of the environment and resources. The ecological environment problem is becoming more and more serious in the western minority area, and the contradiction between environment and development is increasing.In order to solve the ecological problems in this area, the poverty and development problem, the government began an ambitious t resettlement project in 1980s. In the early, the local government organized and carried out the poverty reduction migrants in the western region. The central government put forward a large number of ecological migration policy. Ecological migration became an important immigration form under the leading of our government. Gansu province government formulated the "Liangxi" immigrant project according to the relevant state policies, and relocated the people from poverty-stricken areas of central and southern arid to the Yellow River Irrigation area, Shiyang and Shule River area.In this case, part of the Dongxiang population, which were living in the harsh natural environment, moved to Hexi area in the government organization. Dongxiang migrations had to face the problems of social adaptation with the spatial transformations from "small community" to "big society". Thus, attention to Dongxiang immigrants’social adaptation problem is not only a consideration of the social development, is also a test of ecological migration engineering in china.Ecological resettlement of Gansu Dongxiang is a benefit project, it not only gives them a development opportunity, also brought a challenge. This benefit project not only provides them with the opportunity of a development, but also challenge. In fact, Dongxiang ecological immigrants need to think about how to adapt and what to adapt? More importantly, do the Dongxiang immigrants passively adapt under the government leading, or active on the basis of the cultural consciousness? With these questions, this paper makes analysis and research the social adaptation of Dongxiang ecological immigrants, adopting the combining method of field investigation and literature research, quantitative and qualitative research. This paper is written mainly from the five aspects, economic life, political life, cultural life, religious life, social relations and daily life. We think that the social adaptation of Dongxiang immigrants experienced three processes:the confused process, the game process and the adaptation process. Finally it realized the modern transformation from the traditional. Of course, it also exists some problems in the process of. As an ecological migration project under the guidance of the government, we need to take appropriate measures from three respects:the subject, the government and social dimensions, in order to promote the social adaptation of Dongxiang ecological immigrants, and breaking the plight of social adaptation.
