This article aims to set up a research of designing the physical training of WCBA players during the period of preparing for league matches. Based on literature analysis, using surveys, interviews, logic analysis and other methods, through counseling and interviews with relevant experts and excellent basketball players, investigation and testing of WCBA players and coaches, analyzing the special features of basketball’s physical training, and the essential elements of physical training of WCBA players during the period of preparation, the temporary situation of physical training of WCBA players are analyzed, the reason for the problems in training are found out, and the ideal training mode is designed. The main conclusions obtained are as follows:1. Throughout the physical system of a women basketball player, power plays a decisive role and has an important impact on the quality of the other qualities. Strength training of women basketball players must be based on the maximum strength training, set a quick strength training as the goal, and ensure the core strength training. Women basketball players should pay attention to the enhancement of absolute power and the increase in lean body mass.2. The reason which causes the main problem of WCBA players’physical agility is the inadequate training to increase maximum strength, the inadequate training to increase the weight, and the uneven strength development. Training periodically according to "Theory of Periodization Training for Power" helps to solve the problem.3. The structurality of training of WCBA players during the preparation for league matches is not strong, the loading rhythm of the whole preparing period is not obvious, the purpose of various stages is not clear. The reason why such problems exist is that:the notion that coaches play a leading role in the physical system of women basketball players is uncertain; coaches do not determine the main line of stamina training during the whole preparing period. 4. Mono-cycle should be used in the periold g during the physical training period of WCBA players, and ining should be set as the main line. ()The preparation period of strength training is divided into four phases:improve the players’muscular endurance during the anatomical adaptation and hypertrophy, develop the maximum strength during the Maximum Strength period, and improve the quick force during the explosive conversion period. (2) Special endurance training can be divided as follows:phase of aerobic training; phase of resisting lactic acid training; phase of increasing the energetic capacity of phosphoric acid system; phase of improving special endurance. (3) Speed and agility training should be carried out as general training at the beginning of maximun power increase period, and specialized training should be carried out during the rapid force transformation period.5. An ideal training mode have been designed, in which the speed, agility and special endurance of WCBA players during the preparing period should be divided into different stages. The mode is based on the division of strength training stages, and follows the principle in which the form of offering energy, the means of practice and the load intensity are consistent. It could satisfy the demand that not only the coordinated development of physical fitness, physical function and body configuration is to be ensured, but also the concerted development of different physical qualities. In addition, the trend that the training of various physical elements changes from the general to the specific should be reflected.6. Aside from general training principles, the principles of physical training of WCBA players during the preparing period are as follows: principle of basic strength, principle of the overall concerted development, principle of specification, principle of personalization.
