In recent years, the construction of oversize mines is increasing fast, the size of mine is also increasing. According to the scientific productivity, currently some oversize mines "production capacity" is unreasonable. It is at the cost of safety, resource and environment, so it is not sustainable. At present, we are lack of research and experience to reasonable production capacity and the selection of mining method in the construction of oversize mines. In order to ensure scientific development and mining of the coal resource, there is a systematic research about the selection of mining method to oversize mine, evaluation of production capacity and prediction system in this paper.The paper mainly uses the methods such as analytic hierarchy process, Fuzzy Evaluation and Grey Correlation. Integrating with mining principle and actual situation, through objective, detailed, comprehensive technical and economic study of the oversize mines, this paper put forward a membership function of reserve factors and geological conditions which effects mining method and production capacity, the selection of the mining method and the weight value of affect factor of coal mine outside conditions. Eventually, this paper establishes a evaluation method of the selection of mining method, evaluation system and predictive models to the reasonable production capacity of the oversize mine. The research provides scientific basis for the mining method and production capacity, there is a great significance in the sustainable development of oversize mines.
