Objective:Our research provides a large, cured, integrated knowledge Base for the human osteosarcoma studies by establishing Database for Human Osteosarcoma related Genes and miRNAs.Materials and Methods:We get the gene and miRNA information from the osteosarcoma related papers in the Pubmed database. And we performed multi-analysis in the distribution of chromosome and pathway. At last we build the Database for Human Osteosarcoma related Genes and miRNAs and released in the web by the Linux+Apache+MySQL+Django framework. Results:The filter yielded268papers for gene and14papers for miRNA. In total,1033genes and53miRNAs were extractde via full-text reading. All genes and miRNAs contain information about chromosome. Genes associated to the human osteosarcoma are found on every chromosome. In this dataset,23.1%of associated genes are located on the chromosome1.31.6%of discovered microRNAs are located on chromosome14. The chromosome14is the most contributed chromosome related to the human osteosarcoma in regarding to the discovered average percentage of genes and microRNAs.41%of all genes were enriched in48different overrepresented KEGG pathways. These pathways can be clustered into4major classes:a) cancer related pathways b) other disease related c) signaling pathway related d) antigen presentation and cell adhesion/death related. IHOSDB web service is designed for efficient and convenient access of full human osteosarcoma associated data. Conclusions:We present the IHOSDB as an integrated knowledge Base and a novel resource for osteosarcoma research community. The reliability, practical applicability, usability and response speed achieve the expected target.
