Construction Of Postmodern Feminist Women And New Cultural Shift

The theory of Feminism which focuses on the female issues and takes the femaleliberation as the final goal has a history of more than two centuries during which it hasgrown up into an important theoretical position in which the female individuality andpersonality are admitted with the development of history and social structure. InFeminism, the females have a history of their own and the glory of ideal. They playedtheir role in the development of human history meanwhile they are alwaysunderestimated. Feminism has greatly impacted the patriarchal society and the structureof patriarchy, improved the female subject consciousness and made the individualliberation possible. However, its theoretical dilemmas made people relocate and rethinkabout it. This dissertation analyzes these dilemmas, rethinks about the development ofFeminism from a perspective of cultural philosophy, takes the cultural critical theoriesof post-feminism, western Marxism and the cultural philosophy of Marxism to discussthe meaning of the reconstruction of female culture to the female development by whichthe liberation of female individual and the human beings are combined and the femininephysical and mental characteristic are highly respected and finally to conclude the wayof reconstructing the feminism theory and new feminine culture. In detail, thecharacteristics of female culture makes it inseparable from the male culture with whichit seeks its own spiritual pillar and way of act, which improves that the goal ofFeminism is to realize the complete liberation in human nature and the comprehensivedevelopment of human but not taking the males as the enemy of the females. The newfemale culture attempts to construct a new culture which bases on the equality of genderdifferences and interdependency by the maximization of the human freedom in optionand knowledge. Actually, there was a female self-consciousness in Feminism theorysince it appeared. In other words, the history of Feminism is the history of humanculture. More or less, to construct the new females and new female culture is to discuss the human cultural consciousness and cultural intention. The cultural critical theories,especially the cultural constructive thought of post-feminism, provides the new femalesand new female culture with abundant theoretical resources. Their cultural intention andvalue have effect on the future of Feminism and female culture in different levels tomake Feminism a better theoretical pattern.
