Research On Corporate Social Responsibility In The Context Of A Harmonious Society

When it comes to the21st century, corporate social responsibility (CSR) gradually becomes a burning issue in China. As China’s economic transition and structural adjustment go on, frequently happened accidents in production and food safety, etc. expose some hidden ills in society, which give an impetus to people to pond over how to perform corporate social responsibility. However, the doubt and confusion on corporate social responsibility are still prevailing under the influence of "profit maximization" that deeply rooted in classical economics, therefore, it is urgent to give a response to how to define the content, scope and evaluation of corporate social responsibility. Although there are international documents and standards regularizing corporate social responsibility, such as ISO9000, SA8000and so on, specific features on its social environment, history, culture and economic development in the context of Chinese society are greatly different from that of western countries. Corporate social responsibility in China bears the weight of national culture and reveals mainstream values of Chinese society. This thesis will do some deep research on corporate social responsibility in China under a harmonious environment, thus, to provide direction to Chinese corporations on how to fulfill corporate social responsibility.Based on the analysis of historical documents and academic achievements, this thesis put emphasis on the social attributes of corporate social responsibility by studying its development in western countries. As a kind of public organization, corporate social responsibility is an indispensable part for business operation and is a dominant theme throughout business development, and this the choice both history and reality make. Not only does the corporate social responsibility reveal the mainstream value of Chinese society, but also takes on the accumulation of national traditions, history and culture. A comprehensive analysis of corporate social responsibility must be placed in socio-economic system with a mutil-perspective view. To do this, clarifying the foothold of corporate social responsibility in contemporary society is the priority, that is to say, to do the research in the context of a harmonious environment in China and with the guidance of scientific development concept. Meanwhile, elaborating the historical necessity current situation of corporate social responsibility from different angels on Chinese philosophy, conventional culture and harmonious development approach, or whatever. Secondly, the thesis contains the analysis on effects and influencing factors of corporate social responsibility by introducing empirical tests, for instance, statistical methods, specifically third-order logarithmic regression models, to test result. Thirdly, by using the evaluation criterion of relative international organizations, ISO9000and SA8000and combining with China’s evaluation index system, the thesis will make a comprehensive study with the establishment of FUZZY measurement model. Finally, the no-arbitrage analysis method in mathematical finance will be introduced, at the same time the strategic anticipation on corporate social responsibility will be made by utilizing ITO stochastic differentiation and creating a reference model.
