The Spatial And Temporal Variation Characteristics And Sustainable Development Of Hot Spring Tourism Resort

Hot Spring tourist is one of the important tourist resort types, it has clearly proposed the development of hot spring tourism by both of Outline of Chinese Tourism Industry during the Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan and Outline of National Tourism and Leisure (2013-2020). However, many hot spring tourism resorts face the resource depletion due to the over-exploitation, which cannot help arousing the scholars’thinking:Firstly, what’s the evolution of the development of hot spring tourism resort; Secondly, how to coordinate the protection and development;Thirdly, whether it can develop for a long term. With these questions, this dissertation analyzes the spatial and temporal variation process, characteristics and models of the hot spring tourist resort theoretically, sorts out the interactive mechanism, driving factors and specific mode of its protection and development. Bayuquan is a famous hot tourism resort, which plays an important role in Liaoning Province to build "China’s Biggest Hot Spring.Province." This dissertation takes Bayuquan for instance to verify the previous theoretical analysis for the case, aiming on constructing the hot spring tourism evaluation index system of it and making quantitative evaluation of the sustainable development of Bayuquan hot spring tourism resort, meanwhile proposes the regulation countermeasures.The contents of this dissertation are as follows:Chapter1The introduction. It mainly elaborates the research background, the research significance, the research methods, the research contents, and technical route of the dissertation.Chapter2The summary of the dissertation. It mainly reviews on62abroad literatures and110domestic literatures of the past two decades, summarizes main research areas at home and abroad, comparies among research areas, research methods and research regions, and selects the entry point of this study.Chapter3Basic theories. To analyze the basic concepts such as the geothermal resources, the underground hot water, hot springs, hot springs tourism, hot springs tourism resort. And to sort out the related theories of this study, mainly including Factor Endowments Theory, Environmental Carrying Capacity Theory, Cultural Diffusion Theory, Tourism Area Life Cycle Theory, Stakeholder Theory, Industrial and Agglomeration Theory.Chapter4Theoretical study. To summarize the spatial and temporal variation process of hot spring tourism resort systematically, and to sum up the variation characteristics of its tourism function, development layout, mining objects and tourists spatial structure, and to sum up the models of spatial and temporal variation of hot spring resort. And to make a deep analysis on interactive research of protection and development in hot spring tourism resort, mainly including the interaction mechanism, main driving factors and specific mode. In particular, it demonstrates that sustainable development is the best protection and development coordination path.Chapter5Empirical research. In terms of time characteristics, it analyzes the historical develop stage in the interannual scale and seasonal variation in monthly scale in Bayuquan hot spring tourism resort; in terms of spatial characteristics, it analyzes the spatial diffusion and tourists space behaviorChapter6Theoretical and empirical combination part. At first, with Delphi brainstorming, through the primaries and screening progress, it builds hot spring tourism resort sustainable development index system, and gives the index weights and ratings standards; then it makes empirical analysis of Bayuquan, based on field research and questionnaires, and preliminary discusses the main problems of the Bayuquan spa tourism based on the results.Chapter7Controlling countermeasures. It puts forward on the following seven aspects:the development goals positioning, the hot spring resources protection, the tourism satisfaction optimization, the product development mode, the tourist market positioning, the regional tourism integration and the security system planning.Chapter8Conclusions and outlook. It summarizes the major research and innovation, analyzes the shortcomings of the study discussed, and proposes future research directions.
