Study Of Industry Evolution Based On Organizational Ecology

Thirty years of reform and opening up, China has emerged a large number of enterprises, gradually formed a lot of local industry. Some grows rapidly, some slow growth, there has been a decline. A lot of organizations have been established, and many of them die. The number of birth and death of organizations cause the growth and decline of industry. What factors contribute to different industry onto a different evolutionary path? The organization researchers have been concerned about the issue. Organizational ecology use density to represent the quantity of industry organizations. With the traditional organization theory to a single organization as the research object, the research level of this theory is industry. Organizational ecology think that industrial evolution can be promoted by density, niche and other endogenous factors, can be promoted by system exogenous factors, and also can be promoted by the internal and external factors. It is the integration of the industrial evolution and environmental evolution of the theory of interaction. However, the domestic existing research lacks data model to investigate the role of different factors on the evolution of industrial organization. This paper from the ecology viewpoint, put forward to organization evolution of ecological analysis model, choose a different historical period, different political background of the two cases to examine the industrial evolution factors.Compared with the industrial cluster research, organizational ecology field study is few. Cluster and population are different and related. Can put a industrial cluster as a population. But not simply equate cluster and population. Cluster is a population development to a certain stage of the state.This paper makes progress mainly in the following aspects:(1) organization evolution of ecological analysis model has been made, and from the perspective of ecology, analyses industrial evolution and causes of birth and death of organizations;(2) with the case study of Taizhou sewing equipment industry and modern China’s banking industry and empirical model, verify organization evolution ecological model;(3) from the government and industry level, proposals have been put forward for the development of the industry.(4) Explore the different historical period in the evolution of industrial organization of the different characteristics and common causes.This paper draws the following conclusions:Endogenous factors and exogenous factors work together to promote the evolution of industrial organization; Density and industry dynamics and other endogenous factors are the primary impetus for the birth of organizations; Political, economic and regulatory policy and other exogenous factors be bound together in a common cause for the death of organizations.This article put forward proposals from the government level and industry level. Government policy can be introduced to encourage new industry organization. According to industrial organization quantity and environmental capacity changes made whether to enter the industry of judgment.
